I just think he's a one trick pony. And I think I'd rather build a team around Mathews Anyway, I don't know how you easily fix the Oilers other than goaltending. I'd be tempted to blow it up like you mentioned but that's a tough sell to McDavid. "Hey Connor, give us 5-6 more years to give you some solid depth" Maybe trade the German? I don't know...........

Tuck those chubbies back in your pants boys. The only way Caps drop to 17 is if Colorado + Vegas + Carolina + Florida + Pittsburg + Toronto ALL lose. 21 or 22 is where I'm guessing they land. IF they even lose to the Bruins.

Well, what Yzerman can pull outside of the first round is ultimately going to define his tenure here and this team's future IMO. Not a hot take I know. Good to see we have a few of those guys coming along nicely.

Agreed. I was into Guenther when Pronman had him ranked #1 a while back but he looks more like a high floor type guy. I'd even throw Beniers and Eklund in the same category. I don't think "Hard working" should be the first way you describe a potential top 10 pick. If Yzerman's swinging at high ceiling guys... 1. Power 2. Johnson 3. Lysell 4. Clarke IMO, that's the list.

Power's huge and freakishly mobile for his size. Benier's a real hard worker. No real debate between the two IMO.
