This is what I am wearing today.

I've been smiling since I woke up, always a good sign to a great day. Wings come out with force and fury, but get a little soft in the 2nd, then turn it around in the 3rd. Wings 3 (Dats, Schneider, MALTBY) Flames 2 (2 random cow tipping flamers) LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!
-
If anyone outside the Wings org. knows about the Wings it's Hitch. He played them 8 times and twice at the end of the season.
-
Where does this rank compared to alltime longest playoff games?
-
How do you spell OWNED in Canada? Owneud!!!
-
He's a ******, everyone knows it. He will be run in game 2.
-
Refs are making bad calls on the Pens tonight. There was one hooking call that was totally moronic. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ottawa win this series on PP goals alone (by that I mean that Ottawa scores more PP goals than Pitt. scores goals period).

If you could pick one utility player on the Wings to get hot during the Wings v Flames series who would it be? This does not include Dats, Hank, Bert, Homer, Calder, Lang, or a D-man. 3rd and 4th liners ONLY. I choose Franzen. If he is on top of his game he is a force to be reckoned with. He drives the net, throws big hits, has sfot hands, and plays in front of the goalie. A hot Franzen is the kind of player the Flames may underestimate and that could hurt them severely.

Fedorov in 98....kinda.
-
All this means is that Lang is the 3rd best at winning contests held by radio stations.

Great read. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside knowing that we have the best breains in hockey working for us.
-
Thanks for the info, although it is a hassle, I was hoping it was the case. If I do have the balls to buy Rd 2 tix, I didn't want to lose $200+ and then have them say "Sorry, thanks for playing."
-
I hope he's right too. I am just saying that he may play it safe for game 1. But hopefully that is just misinformation. But I am still not going to get my hopes up. I will remain in a state of reserved optimism.

I heard, after the above interview was done, that even if Z is feeling like playing Thu, he may just practice with the team and make sure there are no more kinks. He has only had one full practice so far anyway.

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/stories/inde....xml&coll=1 "He's going to play, he's ready to go,'' Mike Babcock said. "He's been (skating) for two weeks, it's about time he plays.'' Babcock said he will reunite Zetterberg with Pavel Datsyuk. Along with Tomas Holmstrom, they formed one of the most dominant lines in the NHL from late December until the end of February. Zetterberg had 14 goals and 28 points in his last 13 games before being idled. Datsyuk, who continued to flourish in Zetterberg's absence, said he's happy to have him back as the center on their line so that Zetterberg can resume doing the back-checking. "I think if I come back I have to do a little bit of back-checking,'' Zetterberg said. "But, I don't mind that, playing with him. Today was the first time we practiced together (on the line) in a long time. We had fun out there, like always.'' Zetterberg said he feels better than he did last week and hasn't experienced what he termed a bad day for some time. Still, he said he needs to see how he feels today before being absolutely certain of his status. "If I feel like this, I'm going to play Thursday,'' he said. "I feel pretty good, confident.''

You may not get either. Odds of Z coming back for Game 1 is not good. I say 1 in 4.

The *****'s article in question http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=182269

No errors and a goal. Seems like a keeper.
-
It's a psychological tactic. Making the Flames think they won't have to deal with him. All the while, they are feeding him nothing but Harley motorcycles and showing him video of his mother being beaten by a man in a Flames jersey.

I have a question, say I were to buy 2nd round tickets and the Wings get eliminated in the 1st round (knocks on wood like a carpenter with Parkinsons) what happens?
-
There is, no matter who is in the finals, it wil be in primetime.

Pittsburgh population: roughly 2.3 million Ottawa population: roughly 900 thousand The mere possibility of a 25% share of the local market in Pittsburgh is enough for the NHL to go with NBC over CBC. Plus, Canadians don't care what channel it's on, they only want the HNIC crew. The game is not the point of argument, it's when it is on. The CBC wants ratings and so does NBC, but NBC ratings are better for the NHL.
-
The problem is that the CBC thinks they can dictate what games they get. They probably think that the 65M gets them every Crosby game under the sun. But guess what, Canada will watch it on NBC, America won't watch it on CBC.

It's bad here now. But I think I will be taking my next check and buying tix to game 2.
