He's a pansy, everyone knows it. He hits people by skating from the other side of the rink and hoping they have the puck when he gets to them. That check is proof, but the Wing was smart enough to move and Fruitoo was dumb enough not to slow down. I iwsh he would have went through the door and face first into Val's stick.

Oh by the way, if our goalie does get run tonight, I will swear vengeance against the Pred that does it. If you can't win the division fairly, you should lose with grace and dignity. Not that it matters anyway, they'll be in Seattle in 3 years.
-
If that. Hopefully. the Wings take the game way out of Trashville's reach (like 6-0) and he gets to play against the punks they will throw out to try to hurt our key guys and run our goalie (eh, Fartnell and Fruitoo, duh).

Draper said "hopefully only a couple (2) weeks" on WRIF this morning

Detroit won in their 10th season. So there is no excuse why they don't win this year.

â— Peter Forsberg (Upper Body Injury); Questionable â— Steve Sullivan (Back); Questionable If these guys are out, it should be easier than expected. Wings 3 (Draper, Calder, BOOTLAND) Preds 2 (Kariya, Erat) EDIT: And if not.. Wings 4 (Draper, Lang, Lidstrom, Cleary) Preds 3 (Legwand, Sullivan, Kariya)

Can We Just Make Brett Hull the Commissioner Already?
Wings_Dynasty replied to gcom007's topic in General
You should add a couple of silver Cup stamps at the bottom. Seems like a resume worthy addition. -
Met McCarty at Best Buy in Ann ARbor like 4 hours after a Saturday Av's game. He was just waiting in line with a frind buying some CDs and I went up to him and said he had a good fight and apologized for wearing my Sergei jersey (wasn't on the team) and he said "The front is what counts". Nice guy, signed autos and posed for pics.

Don't be too negative. Hank might not take that long to get back since it's only inflammation. But, I do wish he'll be back for 2 of the games unless osmeone steps up and helps Dats and Lids out.
-
Doesn't affect my predictions. Wings 5 (Dats, Lang, Lids, Calder, Draper) Hawks 2 (Lapointe, Aucoin) Other Predictions Fighting Majors for Lebda and Calder Draper scores SH goal Lidstrom scores on PP with backdoor play Homer 3 assistes

The last time I was this excited about a sgining was when we signed Hasek before the 01-02 season. And before that it was when we matched the offere from the Canes for Sergei.

Who will be in 8th?

Bert meant to drive his face into the ice, not to paralyze him or injure him permanently. And guess what, Mac meant to drive Clod's face into the boards but the Turtle fell down before he got him there, so Mac drove his knee into his face a couple times. Point is, Bert's a Wing now and I don't care what he did to Steve Moore cause Moore was an Av, not a Wing.

On 1270 Bert said that Cheli sent him an email wanting to be his roommate.

91? Just kidding. Very nice avatar. "It's just turned his world upside down face." -
Holland: Wings won't deal unless prices come down
Wings_Dynasty replied to Mighty Wings's topic in General
The fact is that Holland is going to do what is best without jeopardizing the future. He masy pull off a legitimate trade like he's done with Lang and Cheli and go after some one with multiple years left on their contract. Not every option is a rental player. Maybe the rental players are the reason the prices he's seen are so bad. -
Plus, Guerin will throw his fists if he has too. That's makes one person on the team with more than 5 fights in his career.

Here's 5 reasons Datsyuk will not be traded and will be resigned. Some are flimsy and some are concrete, but you will have to be the judge. 1. He wants to stay. Players taking less than their initial offer isn't unthinkable, though it is rare. He says he wants to retire a Wing and I believe him. 2. Holland isn't a moron. He will pay him what he thinks is a reasonable price. A player of Pavel's caliber radiates 5+ million a year and every GM in the league knows it, including Holland. 3. Holland isn't a moron. He knows after this current hot streak that the line is unstoppable when it's hot. To gamble on breaking it up is unthinkable. 4. Zetterberg needs Datsyuk. I say on over 80% of Z's goals, Datsyuk is the main assist. He wouldn't have half the goals or even half the scoring chances without Dats feeding him the puck. 5. Of all the players on the Wings roster, who would you want to have the puck with 1:00 left on the clock down 2-1 in game seven of the finals with the goalie pulled?

"and a dragon eats me." Priceless and hilarious.

http://www.tsn.ca/fantasy_news/feature/?fid=548 http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/powerranking A little ridiculous this week, but they have some kind of system and I guess we are supposed to trust it. And that system is what teams are the best in the last 10 games they have played, but they will argue it's something different until they are blue in the face. Especially crazy is TSN's reason for the Preds to be that high losing 6 of the last 8... FLOPPA!!! EDIT: SPELLING
-
The title of the thread is Pens>Wings...according to the media. The absurd thing is the reason the Preds are higher than us in the TSN poll.
-
We'll just have to see. What if Hank is a no-show, should we trade him for whoever wins the Conn Smythe since we know they will produce?
-
We can all dream. But, since people are having a problem comprehending the 5th reason, let me ellaborate. Who would you want setting up a play in the offensive zone with one minute left, etc...? Yes Nick has the shot, yes Z has a better shot than Pavel (debatable since Pavel does have a wicked wrist shot) but Pavel's passing skills and vision on the ice are unquestioned.
-
He won't be traded. I would go with a "non-signing" before a trade. Plus, they are sub-par because he was A) Not expected to lead in offense when Shanny, Hull, Yzerman, Robitaille, and Fedorov was here, he was just supposed to fill his role on the 2nd line. And B.) He was expected to be ALL of the offense last year. He knows his role now: pass the puck when someone is open and shoot when there isn't anyone open, and if all else fails pass to #5.
