I think Leino, if they are allowed to play words in their native language. Finnish would be easier than Slovakian. Lot more vowels.

Who would be your choice if the Wings had to sign one of them? EDIT: Salary is not an issue.

Toews: Most undeserving Conn Smyth winner in history?
Wings_Dynasty replied to blues_demitra38's topic in General
Byfuglien was better than Toews during the entire run. -
Pretty much. It's like the "would you rather be blind or deaf?" Well, neither, but if I have to pick one... Another one I thought of was would you rather re-sign Homer for 5 years at $5 million per year or trade Datsyuk to BOS for the #2 pick?

Do they have what it takes to win games, or will they just be a PP-giving machine. This is a big gamble for the organization having so many "goons" on one team.
-
If he gets 25 goals, it's a GREAT bargain. If not, he still is useful on the PP.
-
I see that now. What I really meant was that it's amazing that Babs has historically under-used Hudler and now all of a sudden 1 year later he decides that he's good enough to run the second PP unit. I'll believe it when I see it (meaning that I really expect more of the same from Babcock- Hudler on the 3rd line and some PP time and lots of blame directed at Hudler).
-
Good point totals. He would get more points 5 on 5 than on the PP if he got 2nd line minutes. As in 70 points as opposed to 40-50. He had a great year in 08-09 and I think with 2nd line minutes he would have made it to 80 points easy.
-
I wasn't really questioning his PP TOI, the 5 on 5 TOI is where the real points are generated (except for Homer) and that's where Babs held him back, playing on the third line as the primary scorer.
-
Oh, I know Hudler is good. He's a sniper and knows when to shoot. I would even consider him on the 1st PP unit if we wanted to shake things up (like Hudler-Dats-Franz and Homer-Z-Flip). But Babcock is notorious when it comes to limiting his playing time. He brings up his skating as his excuse. I'm all for his playing time going up, he gets good point totals with limited time and never really got a chance to shine. Hopefully Babs has come around. EDIT: spelling

"And let Huds run the other one" ??? Why does he all of a sudden have confidence in Hudler. He put him on the 3rd line all season and now he has him "running" the second PP unit? I'll believe it when I see it.

CBC's Hotstove: Lidstrom to determine future within 7 days
Wings_Dynasty replied to a topic in General
Lidstrom will not make less than 7 million dollars. He will not be paid less than any player on the team. That is how Holland rolls. -
Just throwin' it out there. The last time there was a SC Finals I don't remember this long of a break.

Mine was after a weekend game vs. the Avs. A few hours after the game I went to best buy for DVDs and saw Mac there. I walked up to him and said that he had a great fight and that I was sorry that I wasn't wearing the Mac jersey for him to sign. He said that the front is what matters. Got a signature though and found out he's a real cool dude off the ice too. Here's the fight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adjeV2Ksdos

The Flyers shouldn't be there. Leighton is a huge reason why they are. Toews leads in points and Niemi has great stats. Byfuglien should also be mentioned with all the GWGs he has. Flyers: Leighton, Richards Hawks: Toews, Niemi, Byfuglien

Washington. I hope TB fails and Stevie comes home.

May Tampa go 0-82 until Ken Holland retires.

Has anyone got a solid scouting report on this kid?
-
I can see him signing a 3 year for around 900k. That would be fine with me.

BUMP!!! Today is the last day and Stamkos has a slim lead. You can vote more than once. Just reload the page over and over. Right now its 50.1 to 49.8 for Stamkos. There are about 5 votes every 5 seconds. VOTE FOR PAVEL!!!

1. Bert makes less than 2 million dollars a year and provides a net front presence and skills for the shoot-out. Who replaces him? Hudler? He will be on the second or third line and expected to get 70 points this year while playing 10 minutes a game, and it won't be in front of the net. 2. Hopefully Lids does come back so Rafalski can continue to ride his coat tails. 3. Osgood will probably not be the #1 guy next season. Here are my expected lines: Franz-Dats-Homer Flip-Z-Bert/Hudler Eaves-Cleary-Hudler/Bert Miller-Abdelkader-UFA Lids-Raf Stu-Kronner Lilja-Ericsson (Kindl)

Committee of former players would fix this. 5 guys (2 forwards, 2 d-men, 1 goalie) review the plays and hand out decisions.

He's right about the Blackhawks. Hossa-Kane-Towes-Keith-Seabrook Pick 4. -
Welcome to the Leafs.
