My friend I feel your pain. All I can hope for is afternoon games on AFN at 2000 or 2100. Unfortunately, the Wings have been struggling on afternoon games. Right now I rely on NHL torrents (if they win) and TSN / Yahoo for the highlights.

I just did. Tried to watch his eyes more. Seems like he knew it was in then tripped Z. Still should have been a penalty, but I was trying to see it from his POV as maybe the puck wasn't in. It did hit the roof and fall outside the goal.

Although wreckless and should have been tripping, the puck looked like it may have hit the crossbar, bounced down, and stayed near the line from his POV. The trip may have been trying to get to the puck or keep Z from getting to it. May not be about "class" here.

The only Red Wing with at least one point in every game in the series. Way to go Johan. NOW SCORE SOME GOALS!!!

Right now, I wish we had Schneider instead of Rafalski. The shot on the power-play makes up for all his faults. When he scored I immediately missed him on the team. Only one player on our blueline has a respectable point shot on our PP and we need at least two. Going into game 7, who would be more dangerous on our D corps?

Just did an NHL 10 sim: Wings 4 (Dats x2 (OT), Stuart, Eaves) Yotes 3 (doesn't matter) Yotes 2/3 on PP, Wings 1/1. (Seems unrealistic but they may let them play) Howard 18 saves, Bryz 35 Hits: Wings 39, Yotes 20 Doan starts game but leaves after 1st period with injury (yeah, it happened in the game, hipcheck by Rafalski ) 3 stars: 3. Kronwall, 2A, +2 2. Datsyuk 2G, +2 1. Stempniak 2G, 1A, +2

Corey Perry. He just needs more TOI to get some real emotion going. Put him out there when things are intense (powerplay) with some skilled guys and see what happens. He needs time.

Roger. Glad we are past the whole getting to know you phase. Ericsson turns the puck over less than Rafalski. Yes, Rafalski has more TOI to give the puck away, but that TOI is more important than the ice time Ericsson gets. I think that the worst that could happen if Rafalski is replaced by E is that we give up a couple short-handed 2 on 1's. WHICH HAPPENS ALREADY! He has a 100mph shot and he doesn't get to use it. He is paired with Lilja in a virtual shut-down pairing. They are expected to play most of their time in the defensive zone, which is why he doesn't shoot and therefore doesn't score. Rafalski does have those opportunities to shoot and plays with Lidstrom (during 5 on 5s AND powerplays) and doesn't score. How can a change hurt? I will concede that attempting this switch on the road in Game 7 is probably not the time to do it. But if they are down in the 3rd and a PP comes up, they should try it.

So does this thread go away if they lose Game 7 or can we rename it and continue with the "bashing the Wings" PS's for the summer?

96 (Homer) - 8 (Abdelkader) = 88 88 - 33 (Draper) = 55 (Kronwall to top pair) 55 - 3 (Lilja) = 52 (Ericsson) The math tells me to put Kronner on the top pair and take E away from Lilja and Draper away from Homer and Abs. Spooky huh?

And one of those games was last night. And Phoenix won. And their PP was awesome and Schneider was a big reason for that.
