I wanted a different kind of topic to cool some guys off in the other threads. This seems more of a debatable topic than "Z and Dats are better than Crosby" or "Pissburgh fans are sore losers."

If you are referring to my "Datsyuk & Zetterberg > Crosby & Malkin" thread then maybe you should read it. They are a better all-around duo and the proof is on the front page of every sports section in the country. It reads "Wings 3, Pens 1." Malkin has 0 goals and is -3, Crosby is only effective on the PP. Datsyuk and Zetterberg are BOTH Selke finalists and one of them will win it. Who is to blame for this??? As for them both being better than Crosby, that is debatable. But right now, IMO, I'd take Z over Crosby because he gets s*** done when it counts. And I'd take Dats over Crosby because he is the best 5 way player in the NHL (score, skate, defend, hit, and stickhandle) and he can play any situation. OV is better than Crosby offensively. Dats and Z are both better defensively. Lids is the best player in the world.

The 5 on 3 kill in the 3rd was the best and most important hockey played this year and Hank was up for it. He was AWESOME for teh entire time he was on the ice. He stopped the easy goal for Crosby and then went down and got a small chance at Fleury, he wasn't going to score but he killed time. Man-love status reached.

All true, the Wings cannot be stopped if they play like they did in Games 1 and 2. I'm just prepared to see some lopsided officiating.

It would be enough for me if someone would wait for him to give his little speech before he calls up Nick, and throw one right at his feet. It wouldn't even have to hit him, just land in his proximity. Just so he knows it ain't going away.

I think Dats and Z are the best duo in the game (I started a thread on it after Game 2). That being said, I think that Dats is the better all-around player because he does everything Z does and he hits. Z hits too, but he will never lead the team in hits like Dats is doing right now. I would trust them both in any offensive or defensive situation, they are both GREAT players at both ends of the ice, but Pavel hits more and that ALONE give him the edge IMO. It's been said before, having a problem deciding which player of the 2 is the best in the NHL and they are both on your team is a good problem to have.

Right now, if I were to give the Conn Smythe to a Wing it would be Ozzie, with Z a CLOSE 2nd. But the next game (depending on how each of them play) it could go either way. If the Wings win 3-0 and Oz has 25 saves then he gets it, but if Z has 2 of those goals then he gets it.

I think he means this season.
