Oh, I love all the Wings. But every once in a while one steps up and takes the cake for a period of time. Oz in the Preds series, Franz vs. the Avs, and now Z vs. the Pens.

The fact is that Game 4 is huge for both teams. If the Pens win even after Babs has a whole game of seeing lineup matches under his belt then we are in for a 7 game series. He should have a plan and the Pens matching figured out. If the Wings do crack the Pens first change and win Game 4, then the Cup is awarded after Game 5 because Les Infant Therrien couldn't solve the Wings in either game in the Joe.

Forseeing that Drake retires, we have a hole on the existing roster. But, we have Kopper getting healthy by December. Helm has stepped up and Sammy will probably be around cause Babs loves him. So, if he could be had for under 2.5 mil then fine, otherwise we are just fine. Our second PP would get a HUGE boost though with Sundin's passing. I watched on CBC after the 2nd Crosby goal, when NBC couldn't stop blowing him.

Positives: - the Wings can win the Cup in the Joe. - we haven't played the Pens in Mellon and adjustments WILL be made. - Malkin is still a no show. - it took lucky bounces and RARE defensive lapses to score on Ozzie. - no more "when will Crosby score?" statements. and, most importantly... - we are still up 2-1 in the series. CHEER UP!!! GO WINGS GO!!!

Well, Pitt has no excuse to lose at home... except for Ozzie and his "acting" and the Wings' exceptional "obstructing." Wings 4 (Dats, Lids, Stein, Cleary) Pens 1 (who cares)

Really, I know that nothing is won yet; but the Dats and Z line has totally shutdown the Sid line and the 1st unit PP when they are on the ice. And, when Therrien has been backed into a corner and throws them together 5 on 5, they STILL are useless. Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg is the best tandem in the NHL.

He dove right into the Pens' heads tonight. They had nothing for him. Dallas made Oz scramble a few times a game, he has scrambled ONCE in 2 games against the Pens. I originally predicted Wings in 5, but if Oz keeps playing like this, he is the Conn Smythe winner and 8-0 in the Stanley Cup Finals.

He's the ony commentator at that desk that I take seriously, he is the only one with experience who know what he is talking about. And that goes for the rest of the commentators on VS, TSN, and ESPN.

I think that the games after Game 1 are more important, cause one team is closer to winning after Game 1 than before it.

We lost Game 1 in 2002, so it's not that important.

There is ALWAYS shenanigans in the Finals. Ask any losing team's fans, or team that won and maybe lost a game or two. Calls sometimes decide games, and I do expect it to happen in favor of the Pens. My fiancee is new to the "new NHL" and the refs treatment of the Canadian stars with favorable calls. I had to calm her down a few times during the Preds and Stars series when the Wings were being paraded to the box on questionable calls on the Swedes. I explained to her that the team in the lead on the scoreboard and in the series will get more calls against them because the refs want to give the behind team a chance to win. She called it "unfair" and I called it "the new NHL and zero parity." But, like Reilly said, if we have the puck we get the PPs. GO WINGS GO!!!
