What helps the review rules change movement is that it happened on NBC, the only network the NHL has. The biggest audience the NHL can draw saw a s***TY call and the announcers called the refs on it. I mean EVERYONE with a mic was saying bad call.

Well, after the Ducks Debacle what should we do? Since Cleary is out, we need a scoring center/winger to work on the 2nd line and the 2nd PP unit. Hossa, Sundin, etc. Also, with the extracurriculars at the end of the game, we need a real enforcers on the roster. Gratton, Neil, McGrattan; anyone who is big and can play the puck. A defenseman is the ideal choice.

We need a red flag in the coach's hand, that's all I'm saying.

The top 3 have video review of calls. NBA can review if a shot beats the buzzer. Starting next season the MLB can review homeruns. And, the #1 NFL has the ability for coaches to call for review. In the NHL, the refs have more power to influence a game because they can make a call on ANY play and put a team down a man, or like today, take away a goal and change who gets points and who doesn't. I am now 100% behind the "coach's challenge" movement.

Maybe. He called no goal, can't go back. He calls goal and then they find out he was in the crease (which his skates were not when the puck crosses the line) and they call him in the crease then that's better than calling no goal. But, was he calling no goal because of interference or the crease rule? BTW, does anyone know the crease rule? Can you be in the crease when a goal is scored, and if you don't interfere with the goalie at all, when the puck goes in does it count?

You can't review that goal/non-goal call. Unless they aren't sure it went in, or was scored illegally (glove, kick, high stick) then you can't review it.

I partially agree. Except the standard only hurts Homer. Everyone else can hack and slash the goalie all they want. But if Homer breathes on them it's a penalty or a WAIVED OFF GOAL!!!

It was 3-2 when the goal was taken back. Would have been 3-3. The refs took a point away.

If promoting the game is the most important thing, then we should keep ******* bad calls like this off national broadcasts. My heart is hurting from pumping so hard the last 5 minutes. Pathetic refereeing. I can understand non-calls, but to steal a goal when no interference is made....
