I feel the same way. I just wish that we could have seen what he can really do in a Wings jersey as opposed to a Ducks jersey.

I too am happy we locked him up for 7 years. $6.7 million when Bert is making 4 and Briere and Gomez are making 7. Amazing.

Seeing as how we are moving away from big and physical more toward puck possession and speed; Kozlov is looking to be a good bet on a move Kenny will make. I still want a POWER forward. Not Franzen, Calder, or Bertuzzi (although he would have sufficed). I just don't see any out there. AND DON'T ANYONE SAY GUERIN!!!

I don't care what anyone says, we just got a LOT smaller with the loss of Bert and the eventual loss of Markov. Rafalski doesn't make us bigger. Kenny better fix this pronto. I see some players we are used to calling "******-bags" and "cheap-shot artists" coming to the Wings soon. If Anaheim pushed us around before...

Bert's back is fine according to the Wings doc. Kozlov makes a small team smaller.

The latest from Freep is that Bert does not want long term, but the Wings want the number lower.

If we don't get Bert, expect a depth winger and also expect to see Grigorenko on the 4th line.

Hasek is a gimme. Bert is a problem, but he makes the decision as to whether he wants to be a on a winning team or be on a team that wants to buy his services for more than they are worth (NAS, CAR, WAS).

He's not a Ranger. He is expected to come here and play in GR this season, and may even be called up if someone gets injured. He has a $800,000+ deal with the Wings for this season and is off-limits to other teams unless the Wings package him in a deal (doubtful since he seems to be the #1 offensive prospect). HE IS NOT A RANGER LIKE EVERYONE ELSE SEEMS TO BE!

Damn it. Doesn't look good for Bert right now. Hopefully no West teams will cave and give him what he wants but shouldn't get: long term and $4mil a year.

I think maybe Kenny believes that Hasek and Bert are gimmes. I KNOW that Hasek's deal depends on how much money we spend on Bert and other UFA pick ups. Not over, I expect at least one more Wings signing by tomorrow morning.

Bert is still on the fence. He could go to an East team (NJ, TOR, PHI) or he could take a paycut and stay in DET. No one knows anything.

Jeez, someone hide the razor blades. Rafalski > Schneider+$500,000. He is Nick's replacement and a proven winner. I always hated playing against him (because of talent), so he is naturally a good pick up. Think Chelios.

Sorry, but the Wings home (red) jersey is the best. No changes (other than wheel size and stripe width and location) and it still looks good. Leafs have changed theirs a few times. The "fancy leaf" to the one with the name of the team in it. Not to mention the changing of the lettering on the back and the numbers.
