Pre-GAME 6: (4/22) Red Wings @ Flames - 9 PM ET
Wings_Dynasty replied to aflac9262's topic in General
McLenan leads team with PIM. Cheap ass f*****. No prediction, Wings play 60 minutes of great hockey. Sidenote, keep up with the goodwork aflac, also keep an eye on the NHL sites, I'm sure there will be suspensions by gametime. Iginlame and Langklown will now have to deal with the Tuzzi and the Stein! -
It was happening in LIVE CHAT. Just wanted to let GDTers know about it. Jeez.

He's fine. He had a few good chances so far today. His line is a little cold right now because they play against Cal's best D.

Game 5: (4/21) Flames @ Red Wings - 3:00 PM ET

No predictions, just need 60 minutes of Red Wing hockey. GO WINGS GO!!! -
I'm all for it. I'm not going to get my hopes up though, it is too revolutionary an idea for Babs to consider. He'll go with what works, Sammy on the point .
-
I like it in theory, the only flaw is that Sergei had a HUGE slapshot from the point. Z on the other hand...

Hasek: "if we don't change, we could be in trouble."

Yeah, cause if you drop a pin in JLA you can hear it right? Jeez, can we stop this infantile response in every thread? WINGS CAN'T SELL-OUT!!! HA HA HA!!! -
Detroit was a very violent city then. And since there were no white people, who was going to go to downtown Detroit to a hockey game to see a bad team play? Wings success+Safer city = more fans.

Kiprusoff. It it were any other goalie between the pipes, the series would be over. He has made at least 10 SPECTACULAR saves every game that have kept the score respectable. The Wings have not been playing terrible on 5 on 5 situations. Notice I left out the special teams situation. If we can keep ourselves out of the box and get some favorable calls at home we are in good shape. That being said, if something were to happen to him tomorrow the Wings will take this series in the next 2 games. But if not we are in trouble and we will need more than lucky deflections and bonehead plays by their D to beat this Flamers team. Don't feel bad, he has been solved before by lesser teams. All Bab's has to do is capitalize on the last change and overwhelm their D with our power and stifle Iginla and now Langkow and we will be set for games 5 and 7.

Calm down, have some dip. Also, the Flames coming into game 5 are not the same Flames that came into game 1. We are also not the same team. Doubt from some is warranted after seeing the last 2 games.

It's been talked about non stop ever since the end of game 3. But I have yet to state my opinion on the topic of line changes, and I think I have a new view of it. My revised lines for game 5. Cleary-Draper-Maltby Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Franzen-Lang-Bertuzzi Hudler-Flip-Calder Success shows itself no matter what. Shaking up the lines may cause a few players (Lang, Sammy, Dats, and Z) to look at themselves hard and deep. The Draper line has been the bright spot the last 2 games and the line order should show that. The DZH line is invisible and the Lang line is a disappointment (even if they scored twice last night, they still haven't done their job defensively). Sammy obviously needs to sit, and Hudler always provides a spark with Flip. Calder would add an edge to that line. Also, if Babs doesn't sit Sammy, this is what I think he should do. Cleary-Draper-Maltby Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Franzen-Flip-Bertuzzi Sammy-Lang-Calder (put the 32 rotten eggs in one basket and minimize the damage they do to only one line) What do you guys think?

I WANT HUDLER ON THE ICE WITH FLIP AND CALDER!!!

Let's hope so, cause Phaneuf looked a little wobbly after the Cleary hit. And he wasn't his normal self for the rest of the game -

They do play well together. They trust each other with the puck and pass well to each other. They both like to shoot and they are probably Detroit's #2 offensive duo behind the Dats-Zata combo. -

I hate Don Cherry. -
MLS has nowhere to go but up. Plus, they just got David Beckham. There's a reason to broadcast it.

If Scotty were here Huddles would be in and Sammy would be out. And Lang would have no ass left after it had been chewed out. -
Looks good to me, save Z and Dats as a PP duo until Z is 100%.

LET'S GO WINGS!!! Wings 6 (Datsx2, Z, Cleary, Schneider, Flip) Flames 2 (two random flaming, cow-tipping puckers) Notes: - Phaneuf leaves the ice on a stretcher after Cleary looks at him too hard - Markov lays someone out - Wings get 3 on PP -
I agree. Then Z and Drapes. But to those saying Fisch and Vladdy, it would be inappropriate to give it to them first, seeing as they had no large part in the team's success. If the Wings had won it last year, definitely Fisch. And Vladdy had the perfect moment, why cheapen it?

A little off topic, but can someone explain the syntax and grammar of the topic title. I'm not bashing the thread starter by the way. "TooToo Train? This dude here. : The chase" I don't get it.

Well, if you felt your IQ was in danger after reading them, I guess you have a self-defence case on your hands.

Wow, it IS just like that. They are poking him with a sharp stick with a Flames' logo on it.
