Wow, I must admit I am pretty surprised to see support for the Kings, but it's pretty cool. I joined this site awhile back to see what the Wings fans had to say. I don't post much because a couple members thought I was trolling even though I have never talked s***. I just like talking hockey with other fans. Anyway, we long suffering Kings fans are pretty stoked to be where we are. Of course it will all be for nothing if we don't win the Cup!

I just thought I would pop in and see how you boys were feeling about this game. Should be a good one. Good luck!

I am not pissed. Some people are, but it is what it is. I am from So Cal. I am a Kings fan. Good, bad, ugly, indifferent, bad trades, bad GM's, bad coaches. That is why I am a sports fan. I don't jump ship because we we have been a below mediocre franchise for 40 years. You root for a team because you love them. I can recall when the Wings had to give cars away to attract fans to their games and it was not that long ago. Maybe my team's time is coming and maybe it is not. I will still wear my jersey, I will still go to games and I will stiil rant and rave everytime they blow 3-0 lead. Just like all other hockey fans. BTW-that was not the highlight of the decade for most Kings fans.

Holy crap. I have no idea how we won that game. No way did the Kings deserve to win. The Wings dominated 50 minutes of that game. I would be pissed too if I were you guys.

Thanks. I have been on this site for 7 years now. I am just one of those rare people who are So Cal natives who love hockey. All hockey. I grew up a Kings fan, and really got hooked when Gretzky played here. Since the Ducks dropped, "Mighty" and got rid of those awful jerseys and awful ownership, I began rooting for them too. My dad is from Denver and I went to school in Colorado so I am a huge DU fan. I originally signed up for this site when the Kings were playing the Wings in the playoffs way back when. Sorry to say I was the game where we came back from 3-0 and won in OT. I am still not sure how they called Stumpel's goal a goal, but whatever. I come here to talk hockey, not talk s***. I rarely post, but I like to read whst is going on in the Red Wings organization. I am not a Wings fan, but I believe other teams can learn from the model of this team, and it's history of success.

Well, I knew the Wings have been having trouble holding leads, but I guess I didn't realize it was the last four games in a row. I think my comment was pointed to the "doom and gloom" posts I read in the middle part of the GDT. Again, I am not trying to rub salt in your wounds. I don't do that on other team's sites. Nothing pisses me off more than opposing fans talking s*** on LetsGoKings.com after we lose. Which in the past 8 years has been a lot!

Holy s***. We won at the Joe? After being down 2-0 in the first? I will post more after I get back from the 7-11. I am going to buy a Lotto ticket. The stars must be aligned or something. On a side note: you guys need to quityerbitchin. You have 11 Cups. You are fans of one of the greatest franchises in sports history. Kings fans can only dream of even making the playoffs. I am not trying to be an ass, but it is only one game. We finally have some good, young players and we may be around for awhile. With the Wings depth, I would not be too worried if I were you.

It is pretty easy to access the players there. It is just a matter of how "accessible" they want to be. It really depends on how the Wings will get there. If it is by bus, they may be able to make a quick escape. When the Kings practice there, they usually dirve their own cars and park just like everyone else.

The reason we are quiet is that we have not had anything to root for in awhile. You were probably too young to remember the Gretzky era. There was nothing quiet about those times. The Forum was always rocking. Staples has been rocking lately so you might be in for a surprise. Anyway, should be a good game. "A January game against the Kings has never meant so much". That cracked me up.

I am surprised that none of you have mentioned that there is no such thing as "offsides" or "onsides". It is Offside and Onside. No "s'" at the end. Just look at the NHL rule link posted earlier. Nit picky maybe, but it is what it is. Come on people. You are Red Wings fans.

I am going to stick with my original prediction. I posted at the beginning of the series on LGW "Wings in 7". I think the Ducks will bring desperation to tonight's game and win it. Game 7 back in your house will be a disaster though. Wings will win by three goals or more. On a side note, I am pretty excited to see the 'Hawks advance.

My so cal "homerness" tells me Ducks 3 Wings 2. However, I have been a hockey fan too long to think that is realisitic. The ONLY chance the Ducks have to win this game is if they take two or fewer penalties and the Wings somehow come out flat. Wings 3 Ducks 1 I really don't see five goals being put up on Hiller as many of you have predicted.

OK, let's get one thing straight, there were all sorts of a-holes there last night. Some were wearing Ducks jerseys, some were wearing Wings jerseys and one knucklehead with a Blackhawks jersey. Why is lumping a few bad apples into the entire fan base acceptable? That is like saying all white people can't dance. Stereotyping will get you into trouble people. I was standing in front of JT Schmidts minding my own business watching these two Wings fans harassing every Ducks fan that walked by. One guy was short and fat with a funny hat and the other had a jersey on. I kind of asked them to lay off when one walked up to me and said, "I am not even a hockey fan but I like the red Wings"! I was like, why are you bugging everyone then? He acted all cool until his drunk buddy walked up and started talking s***. I saw just as many Ducks fans yelling at Wings fans, etc. I just don't get it. Some people are jsut born to be a-holes. I just don't like how all the fans are being lumped into one group. It just isn't accurate.

Wow, talk about two sides to one story. I saw the whole thing and that is not exactly what happened. Here is some advice to both sides (because I saw an equal number of assholes): if you can't control your emotions when you drink, then don't drink. Every problem I saw last night involved Wings and Ducks fans were amongst those who had clearly partaken in the beer. I know some people got hurt in this incident and I am sorry for that, but in general, keeping your mouth shut will keep you out of trouble.

I just found out that I am going to the game tonight! Woo hoo. Again, I am not a Wings fan, but I am looking forward to another bang em up game with a lot of scoring. Should I go to Sec 220 and harass the LGW faithful? Nah. I may spill my beer. Good luck boys

When I first opened the link I expected it to say "Ducks in 6" or something. Much ado about nothing it seems. Stats, predictions, regular season records, etc don't mean crapola in the playoffs, Here is my part of my prediction from my Facebook page: "If Holmstrom aggravates Hiller like he does every other goalie, that will be a huge problem. I think that the series is so even, that it will come down to game 7 where the Ducks are 3-24-3 in their last 30 at JLA. Wings in 7."

The Ducks barely make the papers here when the Lakers are in the playoffs.

That is what the Sharks thought too and they got lit up by Getz/Perry/Ryan. This will be a great series. I say Ducks in six only because I am rooting for them, but my hockey sense tells me Wings in 7. As an aside, I am not surprised everyone thinks the Wings will win, this is afterall a Wings site. However, I am a bit surprised at all the "Wings in 4" and "Wings in 5" predictions. I would be stunned if this series was that short. Not that it isn't possible, but I see it as unlikely. The Wings can definitely roll four better lines, have a playoff proved team and coach but so do the Ducks. These two teams are no strangers to playoff hockey and neither team will fold after a loss, bad goal, change in momentum, etc. Just my two cents. So go ahead, let me have it!!!!

Well, some are too old. I am too old to get in pissing contests over which teams are better. Especially since my team sucks so bad, it is hard to win that contest. That being said, I joined this site a long time ago to talk about hockey. I think this is one of the better hockey boards on the net. Do I like the Red Wings? No I don't. Do I think the Red Wings have great fans? Absolutely. Whenever I post on someone else's board, it is respectful. It is kind of like when I am in someone else's arena and my team scores. I stand up, clap a few times and sit my ass back down. The last thing someone needs is a visitor (to an arena or message board) to make the hosts feel like crap. It isn't cool. Friendly banter is fine. If you do go to Allducks (of which I am a member as well), be a hockey fan who is having fun, not a butt who just wants to cause trouble. Save your energy for the series you have coming up. You will need it!!

All of a sudden I am excited about this pick up. I wasn't sure who Ellis was, but the consensus is that you guys are going to miss him. After the Kings walloped the Blues last night, the Kings commentators mentioned that Ellis was picked up as a "bigger" option to some of our other energy guys. Playoffs here we come!! OK, maybe not.

Actually, I love it here. I have been a member for four years, unlike yourself. I like coming here and reading the posts. I think Red Wing fans in general are a good bunch of fans. I was treated pretty decently at the Joe when I flew there to see the Kings get their asses kicked.

Unfortunately, the only thing I dilsike about this board is the "high and mighty" attitude of many Red Wings fans. I realize that most of the people on this board are males under 25 and subsequently the posts are testorone driven and not well thought out. My post was. Don't think for a second that because I live in So Cal and you live in Michigan, that I don't know anything about hockey. This isn't a d**k measuring contest. It is a message board. It is a place to talk hockey which is why I come here. I promise not to lump you in with the two dudes from "Aspen Extreme" if you promise not to lump me in with the poor opinion of hockey fans in California.

Great point. Because "Penguins", "Hurricanes", "Stars", "Red Wings", "Maple Leafs", etc. are so much more 'manly' and hockey-like than "Ducks". What a stupid post.
