I saw the last half of the Cardinals home opener today, at the brand new Busch Stadium. That new park is be-you-tee-ful!
-
I know this was a big past weekend for the Air Guard, and they were out doing a lot today, too. You probably saw the "Demons" from Selfridge. Our "Stings" from Toledo were mainly flying to the south and west today.

I talked to 4 F-16s on the radio today. Unlike usual, today they weren't pains in the butt.

IRL Driver Paul Dana dies after warmup crash
Sting 11 replied to timothy1997's topic in Other Sports
Wow. They can have all of the safety advances in the world, but I don't think a crash like that one in an open wheel, open cockpit car will ever be survivable. It was an obvious wrong place, wrong time situation. It almost seems like there was a communications problem with his spotter because he should have had plenty of time to start slowing down. -
Seattle would had to have far outplayed Pittsburgh in order to win this game.
-
I can't stand Michigan, but I too think they were hosed last night. It looked like the officials had it out for them.

Millen should be first to go.

It's a shame they both can't lose.

I'm a Cubs fan, but since I'm not from Chicago I don't care about the whole North Side/South Side thing. I'm happy for the White Sox, it's good to see fans who've waited for so long finally get theirs, and it's good for the game for franchises who haven't won in a while, especially classic franchises like the Sox, to find success.

Unlike the last several weeks, USC will have to play all 4 quarters to beat Notre Dame. They probably still will, though. I do think it will be a close one.

14-0 UM. MSU can't stop the run right now.

I'm an outside observer (Colts fan from Indiana), but this game was on my TV today. I thought the Lions offensive line was virtually a sieve the entire game. Harrington never had a chance to set his feet and survey the field before there was a white shirt in his face. He was constantly hurried and flushed from the pocket. Now, I believe a more seasoned and/or talented quarterback could have made better with the situation, but the blame cannot fall all on Harrington. That having been said, I believe Dan Orlovsky has tremendous upside. Also, great game by my fellow Purdue alum, Kyle Orton!

Michigan is not as good as Notre Dame Nice...

My boys look gooooood tonight!

Any day when Michigan and Ohio State both lose is a banner day. Iowa's loss today was icing on the cake. Purdue is now in the proverbial driver's seat...we now have to make it happen (and giving up 24 points to Akron isn't a good way to start things off).

It was a great day for my Boilermakers. We win; Michigan, Iowa, and Ohio State lose. Today couldn't have been better (well, if Hawaii and Temple would have won, but what were the chances of that?). Still a lot of season left though.
-
There is plenty of doubt. That having been said, I think the team is far more set on defense than offense, and if we are going to make a trade for anybody, it needs to be for a decently-priced forward.
-
If this trade were to happen I would form a posse, complete with torches and pitchforks, and march on Detroit. Who's comin' with me?!?!

Worst. Rumor. Ever.
