Lots of empty seats in the lower bowl, too.

Let's go to the new live thread... -
I've got the same thing here in Toledo...so I guess it isn't Buckeye Cable's problem.

Yeah...DTW's jet departure routes are designed to get them well above DTW turboprop departures by the time they hit my airspace. I work DTW turboprop departures day-in-and-day-out (usually Mesaba SF34s) but never the jets. NWA DC9s fly the DTW-CMH route all the time and they usually reach their cruise altitude (13,000'-17,000' typically) in the TOL to FDY vicinity. I normally can watch them climb off of DTW and begin their decent about 25 miles east of FDY...they never clip my airspace though, which is up to 10,000'. I'm sure N682RW has flown that route countless times but that registration number never rang a bell. Methinks Mr. I needs to replace that old battlewagon with a BBJ or a Global Express...
-
N682RW...I'm going to have to remember that. I seriously doubt if I ever get a chance to work it through my airspace...especially if they fly into Metro instead of Willow. When they're coming back in from SJ they'll likely fly over my sector...but 2000' above it. I might be able to snag a flight-progress strip for it someday when they're a southbound high-climber.

Well, Sharks fans...here we are!!

Who got banned for supporting players? Perhaps I should know about this...

Time warp: 2001, wings lose in 6, give up 2-0 lead
Sting 11 replied to WingedWheelin06's topic in General
I, for one, did. I saw many of the same tendencies and habits come to light. What does this mean? I don't know yet. Are there problems that need addressed? Yes. I think the people who are saying "Awww...we're fine!" are wrong, because there are some serious problems that need addressed. If you're already calling this "2001 Part Deux", you're also wrong, as of tonight, because it's too early to say this team is down and out. I guess we can all say "have faith" to a point, but I think it's almost certain that the winner of Game 5 wins the series and nothing else but the outcome of Game 5 really matters. The only question worth asking is which Red Wings team will show up in Game 5. If the Red Wings play poorly on special teams again, and give up tons of quality scoring chances again, and lose again...then I think they lose in 6. If the Wings win Game 5, I think they win in 7. Regardless, I think the Wings lose Game 6...there just seems to be something about the Flames at home (especially in the playoffs). The key is for the Wings to ensure that Game 6 isn't decisive...and that means win Game 5. -
We shouldn't be putting it all on the goaltender like that. Hasek has played very well, but the defense - on and off the penalty kill - really needs to step it up.
-
I don't care if they scored on them or not, quite frankly. My concern is that they shouldn't be getting said chances in the numbers they have been. They shouldn't be stepping around our defenders like they have been. Those are problems that need addressed posthaste.
-
I'm not ignoring anything. All I'm saying is a.) I've seen signs in the last 2 games that are disturbing and familiar, and b.) Game 5 is crucial.
-
I look at things like odd man rushes and quality scoring chances. The Flames had us on those tonight...much like what happened often in the previous three losing playoff series.
-
It's becoming familiar. The good news is that in this series, the Wings didn't lose one of the first 2 home games, so we still have home ice after 4 games. That having been said, yeah...whoever wins Game 5 wins the series.
-
Just like they did in the 03 Anaheim series, the 04 Calgary series and the 06 Edmonton series. I just can't figure it out.
-
That typically requires establishing the puck in the zone first. They can't even do that tonight.
-
How many postseasons in a row have we heard this about the opposing team's goalie?
-
I don't think "shell" was the word, but I think what he meant was they need to figuratively give the finger to the refs by killing off their BS penalties.

Sleep well...

Cool it, right now. It's not up to you to determine who posts here and who does not.
