Yes it was. It was totally reactionary, over the top, and it made you look fickle. Like "OMFG we’re losing game 2 after winning game 1 so now our GM sucks and I wish we had a team like Boston!!!!!!" Meanwhile everyone else in the league has, at one time or another wished they had a team like Detroit. Including Boston fans after game 1. -

Exactly. I was a s frustrated by that period as much as anyone - I even got a mod warning But we the fans need to calm down and the Wings most certainly have to get re-focused and not engage. -

Bad stuff from Jimmy. More importantly is that Detroit takes 1 penalty last game, the Bruins whine, and get 3 PPs half way through the first in game 2. -

The problem with all of this is that we need defensive help now, not in 2 years time. Who can we get that's better than Kindl and Lashoff ( and hopefully Quincey and Smith) that will sign here for no more than 2 years? Anyone of any major value is going to want a long term deal. On top of that, And Mac just signed a 6 year/30M deal, so that's whast those caliber of D-men get paid now.

The thing about Glendenning: his body seems to be an extension of Babcock's brain. So basically, Luke does everything Babcock asks him to do. That why coach loves him. (compared to Tootoo, who Babcock had no control over, and didn't like as a player, at all) Babcock will tell him to play on the edge but not to cross any lines, and that's exactly what Glendenning will do. No worries.

It’s sad that we’re all ******* around with forward line combos. The forward lines currently match up well with the Bruins IMO. I actually think we have the edge. But unless you have the option to insert either a) Jesus or b) Optimus Prime into the lineup on defence, their are no defensive pairings that can collectively shut down the Bears.
