With the way the two play right now, Bickell is an upgrade offensively a maybe physically. Abby is faster. Bickell's going to get paid though. Like 4M per year. Is he twice as good as Abby, who makes 1.85 per ? I'd love to have them both, but I'd rather take Bickell money + trimming-the-fat money and spend it on Clarkson or Horton. Legit top six wingers.

I know that, at the deadline, there was no guarantee that Filpulla re-signed either, but at least he helped us win a round vs Anaheim. Something Weiss' injury would have made impossible. Would have been an unnecessarily risky move for Holland to make at the time. Also, I don't like either Detroit or Toronto's chances of obtaining Weiss' rights. Doubt Florida would deal with divisional opponents. If Freidman is correct, you'd have to like The Stars chances.

Streit is a PP guy who can put up points and move the puck up the ice really well. Like Rafalski. He'd be looking for at least 3 years @ 5M/per and he would play in Detroit's top four.
