Exactly. And seriously, why wouldn't they? I have no horse in this race, so I don't care who the #1 guy is as long as he plays like a #1 goalie. Best case, both goalies are lights out but one is more lights out. How awesome would that be? Worst case, both goalies are bad with one being slightly less bad. I don't want to start a goalie flame war here, but it seems that the members insisting that Mrazek has "already stolen Howard's job" are simply pro Mrazek, anti Howard, and are hoping one succeeds while the other fails. Almost like they'd rather have one great goalie on this team than have two. Which is completely crazy.

Sutter and Bonino are almost the same player. Sutter'sa little bigger and three years younger which must be why Pittsburgh got the extra player and higer pick.

2013 playoff Andersson was waaaaay better than anything I've seen out of any of those plugs you just mentioned. That also happened to be the best post-season run the Wings have had since 2011. The kid held his own centering the third line and was relied on to look after Nyquist and Brunner for 200 feet against some pretty good players. So at least Andersson can say he's played decent hockey once.

Well, he's played 5 seasons and his numbers are consistently in the 16 - 21 goal range, 44 - 57 pts. There's been no real upwards trend. But yes, you're right. Might end up being good value when he hits his prime in 2 -3 years. Hopefully not though because screw the Rangers.

I honestly think the Mantha backlash was completely based on the fact that Wings fans haven't had too many first round, blue chip prospects to boner over in 20 years. We were starving for one. So when Mantha came along, the hype got out of hand.
