Hawks want a 1st + a top prospect + a top six forward on an entry level contract. If any GM gifts them this I will make it my personal mission to hunt them down and kick them in the Ballz. No NHL club should be doing the Hawks any favours at all. -
Nice of him to do the Wings one last favour. Seriously though, if it says "the Wings aren't interested" then that should have nothing to do with Babcock or the Leafs desires.

Awesome. Why don't you explain your definition of a 4th liner to Stan Bowman or Steve Yzerman? You know, the GMs of the two teams that played for the Stanley Cup. Hey now, I'm not saying the Wings are a better team than the Blues or Jets, and they're certainly not without their flaws. It was more of a response to Francis who, as per usual, assigned value to something that doesn't really matter. As in: who gives a flying crap if these teams have tough 4th lines. They both sucked ballz in the playoffs. For the record, the Wings had a better showing than either of those teams IMO>. -
Maybe the Leafs take Weiss in a Phanuef trade and then buy him out? Doubt it but they did do something stranger than that with Horton in the Clarkson trade.

He played for the Griffins in the 90s. So I'm guessing since he was going to "regress" to the AHL coaching ranks regardless, he decided to go with nostalgia? That and the fact that coaching within the Wings organization these days is like climbing onto a loaded catapult. You're going to end up somewhere else, travelling in an upward direction, quickly.
