Yandle: Larkin + Ouellet + 1st I have no doubt that would get the deal done. The Wings would eb getting a "can't miss" top 5 offensive D man with zero durabilty issues in the prime of his career with an amazing cap hit. Would you do it? I think I would. -
Nah bro. You're wrong. Holland's lost his drive. Plain and simple. He doesn't give a crap about winning anymore. Not like he used to. That's why he won't trade Larkin or Mantha or Tatar or Jurco or Nyquist. He doesn't have the drive to trade those guys he personally drafted for a rental. He's getting soft.

Some talk of Franson to Detroit right here http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/five-potential-trade-destinations-for-cody-franson/ I might be OK with Ouellet going to Toronto. But I'd have a hard time swallowing a deal that included any of the other four players listed. -

The same Hockey Central that insists Babcock is going o Toronto? Again, the Toronto media will invent trade and player movement fantasies just to keep themselves employed and to keep Leaf fans off the ledge. I almost have more faith in Eklund at this point. -

Players say that stuff all the time. Plus, I'd take the Toronto "news" with a grain of salt. Unless, of course you're trying to win an arguement. I agree with you about Kronwall. Also, it's very naive to think they can just rid themsleves of bad contracts like Phanuef's in order to keep the guys they want. Again, I suspect you're just trying to make your point. Only the fanniest of trade fan-boys would want any part of a Kane deal. -

Yep Holland and the Wings really are classy. Except when it involves keeping promises to veteran players regarding contracts. Then they are just incompetent, over-loyal fat cats that obviously don't care about winning anymore. -

Hey now, I didn't say the Wings were a better team, or that Nashville shouldn't be congratulated on their campaing so far this season. It just seemd like, as a Wings fan, Dabura was ready to climb and jump becuase Nashville has such an amazing defence. I was just reminding him that the Wings sometimes have amazing stuff too. Not for Nashville. Not yet. -

First off, there's no saying they land FransonSecond off, the Red Wings forward group is at least 3 times better than Nashville's. And they built this without ever sucking, whilst winning cups and making the playoffs. Think about it, there is not one poverty pick on the Wing's roster. Not even close. Mon frère, if anyone should be crying in this scenario, it should be Preds fans. -

Agreed that Prust hits him in the side. But Myers doesn't see him coming. And not because Myers is the worst player ever. And, like I said, the only reason it wasn't in the head is because Myers is basically Slender Man. -

I'm by no means leading the Myers charge, but that was a cheap hit and if Myers wasn't 7'8" or whatever, Prust would be facing a suspension for a blind-sided head shot. Also, Prust is an epic pos c*#t, so f*** him. Also, the Habs lost, so f*** them. But I digress...... -
