I think both K & K will be good for the Wings. They cost nothing and we have to hit the cap floor. Yam might be okay speed for depth on our 3-4th line, but Klim should be a fan favourite by November for those who think our team is ***** personified. I think he plays a great physical game that I think is missing on our team.

The latest from Bultman regarding Danielson and Pellikka. Not a bad read. https://archive.is/eNaJW

Nate looks like a solid kid with wheels. Pronman's top 11 are pretty accurate considering that along with the obvious six, he had: 7 - Danielson 8 - Dvorsky 9 - But 10 - Simashev 11 - Leonard

I agree. Give the Sens both of our 2018 1st rounders.

Dorion also said that the team is looking to trade Alex DeBrincat as the NHL Draft approaches. He noted that DeBrincat has not requested a trade, but the restricted free agent has refused to sign long-term with the club. DeBrincat, 25, had 27 goals and 66 points in 82 games this past season. He was acquired by the Senators in July of 2022 during the NHL Draft from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for three draft picks. The Senators general manager said there's been a large amount of trade talks, but does not expect to be able to land a first-round pick before Wednesday night. Dorion said he may be able to land a second- or third-round pick before those rounds take place on Thursday. Ottawa is currently without a selection until the fourth round, with another selection to follow in the fifth round and three picks assigned to them in the seventh round.

I hope I am right, but I am calling bulls*** on this handshake deal. The Sens don't have much to any leverage and I can't believe SY would spit up a 1st and 2nd plus Z or two 1sts plus Z. Who wrote this article? If it's true Ima gonna cry a bit.

Nice dump. No retention and really no draft pick sweetener. Am I missing something? Hawks trying to hit the floor and that's it? -
Best offer, with a signed deal, is 42, 43 and Z. Take it or leave it sucka.

I loved Roger Crozier as a kid. Best goalie ever! Glenn Hall 2nd. You kids....lol.... you had to see a goalie playing without a mask. I don't think they were thrilled to do it, but nobody had or wore a mask.

NC all the way for me. Tonne of my Florida neighbours whe I lived there all had summer joints in Raleigh or Charlotte to keep cool during the heat season. I liked the rolling green there as it reminded of a number of areas in Maryland.

I think that would be a no brainer assuming SY wants either Carlsson, Smith or the Russki.

9: C/RW RYAN LEONARD 17: D TOM WILLANDER 41: G MICHAEL HRABAL 42: C GAVIN BRINDLEY 43: LW NOAH DOWER NILSSON 73: G TREY AUGUSTINE https://fanspeak.com/nhlotc/draft.php?d=ohrvia I win!

Kailer Yamamoto wants to know what makes AD so cool.

I would hope SY doesn't move up for Michkov. Kid looks great, but in the cozy confines of our NA rinks, I'm having a hard time not picturing this kid getting injured all the time. I'm getting antsy. Draft is only two weeks away.

Pretty crazy draft from the staff at Athletic. https://archive.is/NgqSo And todays prospect rankings and more https://archive.is/YKjSg

The latest mock from Kimelman and Morreale https://www.nhl.com/news/mock-2023-nhl-draft-connor-bedard-adam-fantilli-top-picks/c-344826764 We get either Zach Benson or Oliver Moore at #9 and at #17 either Barlow or Simashev.
-
Just a thought on your post about using our extra picks in trades. Scott Morrow looked great on film prior to the 2021 draft. I thought he would have gone in the 22-28 range, yet fell to #40. Food for thought regarding trading our extra picks...lol It would take a tonne IMO to get Carolina to trade him to us. If I'm the Canes I'm asking for #17 and Wallander/Johannsen, and be willing to throw a 3rd or 4th back to the Wings if pressed.

I can't see Dubois signing here long term. No deal. Way too much for Debrincat IMO. No deal. I know you kids want to fast track our playoff/competitive quotient, but, this is the last year/or two probably of having a decent chance to load our system, so I don't want to trade away any of our futures for the now. Our lottery luck has been crappy, (Gary hates us) and even with Kasper, Eddoggie etc, we're still pretty thin with hopefuls. Take on salary, get extra picks and if our team deserves to make it into the playoffs then great, I just don't want to force it.
-
Kid is in his last year making 6.4M. Any clues to what a long term deal would be?
-
We shouldn't be beggars. Ottawa is under the gun to move him, either now or at the TDL. For what they paid for him last year, they're going to want a 1st and a 3rd I would guess. Pass. If the kid really wants to come home, he can wait a year if the contract terms are right for both parties.
-
What would his contract look like and is he really someone we want to tie up long term? Guessing 8m per / 7Years. I really don't know enough about the kid to comment. He is pretty small and has never seen the difference between regular season and playoff hockey.

He seemed to improve as a player under Sutter, so Babs may not be a stretch. Of course Sutter might have been a factor why he left Calgary. Dunno, Gaudreau says his Dad was always tough coaching him growing up and that's why he respects demanding coaches. -
I want that table to be pounded with every pick.
