I would have to put Kasper with Ed as most likely to put a stamp on their elite status this coming season. Hopefully a couple of kids in the cupboards pan out like those two sooner than later. -

Not sure I buy Buffalo being 2 tiers better than us. I wonder who here would trade Mo, Ed and AlJo for Power, Dahlin and Byram. I would love Dahlin, but I think Power and Byram have maxed out and for us Ed's second season could be great. We just need another top 4 defenceman. -
Probably sign with Anaheim or Edmonton. I'll let myself out.

You're probably right. It just seems like they are drafting that certain type of forward with brains, compete and 200' game and seem to be developing them sort of well. Maybe it's the development or tutoring of the Dmen that's the problem? Or it could just be underwhelming draft scouting.

Tonne of specs on O and very few on D. Is this the big SY strategy of filling our roster with trades or FA Dmen?

I really like the two-way pro-style of Bear and Danielson and hope they grow as Kasper has. Add in Mazur, MBN and hopefully a completely dedicated Sodapop and we're looking good for grit with talent. If we can hit on the offensive upside of Buch, Plante, Kiiskinen or Lombardi.... even better.
