Forget any 2nd rounders coming back in deals. Even Staal should have been a 1st with maybe a 3rd going back to NYR. I wouldn't touch Turris for at least the 11th plus a spec. Erikkson same deal.

I get that we all have opinions. Yeah, Mine are based on the eye test only. I would vastly prefer Rossi over Perfetti because he beats opponents one on one better than Perfetti, and handles the 'in traffic' game better. His defensive game appears superior as well. I'm hoping either Stutzle or Byfield drop, but, if they don't... Rossi please. I hate the idea of taking a goalie 4th overall. Lucas Raymond..... meh. I would love it if Khusnutdinov is there at #32.

Not sure if this has been brought up in regards to buying picks... does anyone think Anaheim would like to trade Backes to us for #27? They look like they're tight against the cap for 20/21 ( I'd love VCR's 1st in 2021 for Eriksson)

I love Khusnutdinov and I doubt he lasts until #32. He reminds me of that pesky #37 for the Bruins. 4 - Rossi 32 - Khusnutdinov 45 - Grieg 55 - Ponomarev 62 - Miettinen 64 - Kleven

The Sens also have a sliding attendance going back for five years now. They need to get to the cap floor, but, I think they might shoot themselves in the foot by really over paying one or two guys to come to Ottawa.. I hope they're dumb and desperate, that can only help us.

So..... about that Oilers 2nd rounder. I keep seeing #51 on the update ? lists, but, shouldn't it be #45 if EDM has the 14th best record? Just a little confused. I know it's not a huge deal... but it is lol

Craig Button suggested that if the Leafs won the draft, needing a defenceman, they could flip the #1 to Ottawa for #3 & #5, and take Drysdale at 3. I'm going to puke no matter who wins it. I'll be happiest with the Jets I guess. This really sucks.

My bad. somehow in my brain, EDM was picking 10th, so you're probably right with Holland snagging Seider at #8. If Kenny and SY talked and shared I can see the Seider connection. If SY loves Sergachev then anything is possible. Who is the 4th best prospect? Just saying...lol. Seriously... could we get screwed 5 years in a row?

Vancouver is the #17 Jersey pick. Depends how bad Jersey wants the #4 this year. 4+31 = 7+17 ? Or we could think about VCR's 2021 1st rounder. Assuming they stay around #17, we could end up with a top two - four pairing in a heavy defenseman draft.

I wonder if the rumour last draft was true? That Stevie Y had no takers to move back a few spots and still get Seider. I wonder if he has a similar idea (if true) this time around, assuming none of the big 3 fall to #4? The Ducks have 6 , 31 and 36. We could talk. Jersey has 7 and 17. We could talk. That's one way of looking at it. I'm really looking at 32 as a gift 1st rounder where someone will fall that you can really project as a top 6F or top 4D. The four other picks look like all late 2nd rounders..... go Stevie Y!

I'm hoping for one of Gunler, Lapierre, Peterka or Khusnutdinov if they fall to 32. Seems like there's always a Veleno that drops. The other four picks between 50-65 are really interesting. Some of the 35-45 ranked kids could fall into our lap for our late 2nd early 3rd picks. I hope Stevie swings for the fences with four high upside players. Can only hope for another Pavel or Hank clone.

Now that my head is back where it shouldn't be, I find myself investigating (again) the specs ranked between 40 and 60 which should be our neck of the woods for 4 picks between mid round 2 and the start of 3. Yep. Let's improve and finish 2 points out of the playoffs and then ZING... win the draft lottery. I know that would never happen for us, but, the karma would be kind of sweet if it did.
