I'm torn. Who do I hate more, the Sens or Leafs? It's always fun when Toronto has to go to a game 7... go Sens.

I have tonnes of Lions fans for friends and as a Saints fan I'm pretty jealous. You have a GM who you trust completely and your team benefits from his smarts and how he puts his team together. My draft viewing party of one just keeps muttering things like don't fugq it up. again.

Nucks are looking to add 2nd line C so I'm guessing they really don't want to lose/trade Petey. His full no-trade clause kicks in July 1st though so... Contract is a joke and the Nucks moving him would need to cover 25% to keep him under our self imposed salary structure. Tom Willander falls under the Isaac Howard category. He's headed back to Sweden supposedly because VCR is cheap and won't include performance bonuses. I don't know what this kind of deal would look like seriously. Pettersson 25% + a signed Willander for what? Danielson, Ras/Compher + protected 2025 1st? Flame away.

I wouldn't mind a trade like you've mentioned, but it only takes one dumber/desperate GM to overpay for Petey. I could see the Sabres offering more without retention. Most Nucks fans want a ransom. Saner Nucks fans would be willing to pay to get out of that contract.

So..... I guess Larkin maybe shouldn't have voiced his displeasure regarding the TDL and SY's reluctance to overspend needlessly. I get that he's been mauled by other teams since he's been our best player and has been a good captain, but complaining in public instead of privately is not a good for the team. Considering the Canucks dillema with Pettersson would anyone take a straight up Larkin for Petey? (25% retained)

And we're back.

Skellefteå won 2-1 last night in 2OT to advance to the final 4. MBN was steady with 3rd line ice time, with good net front presence. ASP played over 24 min on 2nd pairing. He made a few mistakes, one resulting in a goal. He also scored that game tying goal on a nice rush and wristshot. The kid can skate and handle the puck for sure. They won't be over any time soon if they keep winning.

MBN had another goal called back (goalie interference) and added an assist. His line looked really solid, playing a playoff type physical game. He wasn't killing guys, but rather taking them out of the play which is an improvement I think over earlier in the year when he was trying to nail people. I'm excited. He's going to make our top 9 tougher. Yeah!

Playing time has caught up to Larkin and Ray Ray. Seider has played the hardest minutes and looks pooped as well. We need more muscle. Period. The Cats have it figured out. They don't play hard every shift or every game, just enough to keep fresh and ready for the playoffs. We're spent and soft.

I guess it really depends on how many spots will be open in GR and Toledo. I like that SY has some grit vets for our kids to learn from in GR, but, in Detroit we're soft.

At first glance, Cozens looks pretty good with the Sens. I just can't come up with any comparable deal that I would be happy with, acquiring him. Norris is a really good player with injury concerns that were obviously taken into account in this deal. Wasted thoughts on what price we would have had to pay?

Bah. I thought they played fairly well. It's not like they got outshot....lol SY maybe just doesnt' want to push the chips in when we're not ready.
