Yup, I got it as soon as I posted. I had it on 195, which is active during the day, but I guess 14 still has the games until December 31.

Anyone else with WOW Cable seeing a blank screen on FSN Plus? Shouldn't I be seeing the pre-game show right now?
-
After all his criticism of the Red Wings over the years, its fitting that we put the final nail in his coaching career's coffin.
-
It has been quite confusing. Based on my phone calls the Red Wings, and the fact the VS. starts its pregame coverage at 6:30, I'm confident of a 7:00 game time, with the ceremony starting around 6:45. I'd err on the side of caution here. At worst, you'll sit in a mostly empty rink for an hour. There are worse things.
-
Yeah, I think if you're going, its best to be on the safe side and assume its a 7pm start. I'd be in the rink no later than 6:45 for the banner raising.
-
Yeah, I'm highly confused here. I've seen lots of different information. I called the Red Wings media relations dept. on Friday, they said the game starts at 7:00 pm(probably more like 7:15 due to being a VS. game) He said the doors would open at 5:30, if not 5:00. The pregame stuff should last about 15 minutes. And they just had a commercial on VS. that their coverage starts at 6:30, so I'd think its a 7pm start.

The pre-sale starts on Wednesay morning. Anyone have a password?

Also disappointed, but not surprised, they didn't talk about any of Homer's goals that were called back. I could see them not talking about the one in game 1 of the Finals since it didn't affect the outcome, but the Dallas one was a huge factor in the series being an easy 4 games vs. a tense 6.

I was a little disappointed in the DVD, honestly. The previous one's I thought gave a better representation of each series, and did they even mention that Franzen missed basically the entire 3rd round? If they did, I missed it. The legends part was fantastic though.

Behind the Scenes look of Wings Championship DVD
hockeytown9321 replied to NeverForgetMac25's topic in General
Best news from the DVD is an insert/rebate coupon for a box set of all the Finals games which will be released on October 7. -
In 97, 98 and 02, they had the rally for season ticket holders at JLA. Has anyone heard anything about one this year?

Major role in 08 cup = schneider and bertuzzi
hockeytown9321 replied to KrazyGangsta's topic in General
Kind of interesting that we were the defending champs when we acquired Schneider, and then never won again. He goes to the current defending champs, and they lose in the 1st round, just like 2003. We've won back-to-back Cups in our non-Schneider seasons. -
Uh, it means Detroit is on the cusp of winning.

What are the requirements for a player to get their name on the cup?
hockeytown9321 replied to Osgood=WIN!'s topic in General
He is the director of player development, so he will get his name on if we win as part of management. -
whowins.com will answer all of these questions, and more.

Anaheim advanced to the conference Finals playing just 10 games last year, and had 8 days off between round 2 and 3. Granted they lost Game 1 to us, but it helped them overall. We had a week off between round 2 and 3 in 2002 and won game 1 against Colorado. The rest is a good thing. We've travelled about 12,000 less miles and played almost 3 fewer games(factoring in OT) compared to this point last year. Huge advantage.

WQF Game 5 GDT: Red Wings 2, Predators 1 (OT)
hockeytown9321 replied to aflac9262's topic in General
Ken Kal and Paul Woods just reported Legwand and Arnott are both scratched tonight. -
Daniels made a couple hundred comments about various colleges and countries the players have played for, and their hometowns. He's a graduate of the Ron MacLean school of broadcasting. Redmond complained about the officiating, and used the Lord's name in vain under his breath.

Where did you see the start time for Thursday? Normally these early round night games start at 7 so that the west coast games can start at 10.
-
Not quite. Anything that happens in the first minute of the game is expressed in seconds. We score with 19:50 left, it means the goal was scored at the 10 second mark. If we score with 18:50 left, the time of the goal is 1:10. You cannot score at the 20:00 minute mark, since the game would be over as soon as you hit 20:00. The goal in question here should be at the 19:59 mark, officially.

Probably Saturday so that we can jump on a plane and play game 3 on Sunday. This is how Gary likes to schedule. New York can play New Jersey and get a week off between game 2 and 3, Detroit can travel and play back to back with Vancouver or Calgary.

General manager Ken Holland said Wednesday afternoon he talked with trainer Piet Van Zant, who said an MRI earlier in the day confirmed it's a mild ligament sprain http://detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?A.../802200468/1128 So, thankfully, the MRI did not reveal any further damage.

This caps off a pretty damn good day for me. I got to stand in center field of Tiger Stadium, went to JLA and watched the Wings win, and now this. Thank you so much for finding it. I've been searching for 10 years.

Does anyone know if they charge for parking at the Joe Louis garage for these?

Good news. They will have to add 2 teams to keep things even. All of these possible expansion cities would have to be in the Western Conference, which means 2 current Western teams move East.
