The Ducks were the second best team in the POs this year imo. That Game 7 was for the Cup if you ask me. I see a veteran Ducks team easily taking care of the Hawks, and throttling Crosby and Malkin similar to what the Wings are doing. Hiller is better than Fleury, and the Duck's D could handle the dynamic duo....

I DVR the show so I can flip through it later. That lady has called in before and complained about the Wings - not sure why they even air her. What I find hilarious is that she is complaining about the Wings yet she must still be watching all the games - so she can curse the tv when the Wings lift the Cup again. lol My kid had on a MSU tee-shirt today and I already got 3 let's go red wings comments out in Denver - one at the doctor's office and two at the coffee shop. lol I bought 2 of my Avs friends Wings Cup shirts last year - after they tried to jump on the Pens band wagon. I even caught on of them wearing it one day I'll turn these yokels away from the dark side yet.

You need to work on more positivity in your posts.... If Dats was out for the POs for sure I think they would just say that aka Schneider a few years ago. I think he will be back this series but it's getting a little nerve racking waiting around. Raffy suddenly came back from his mysterious injury, so did Franzen last year, so I am hopeful....

Of all the Pens I actually like Malkin the most. He has the team's only 2G in the first two games. What does his dynamic duo buddy have? zilch. And it is Crosby who is getting shut down again by Z. Yet he is too much of a wimp to challenge anyone face to face - a little head slashing after the whistle, or slashing Maltby's foot (wtf like Maltby has anything to do with his inability to score - if he can get under your skin you are in trouble). Anyhow back to the point, Malkin was doing Sid's dirty work. The rest of that crew is intent on dirty stuff behind the play. A bit unclassy and uncalled for to go after Z yes - but at least one guy on that team has balls. Their coach doesn't even have any - that guy's press conference is dryer than a Martini.....

Agreed. Malkin played great. I was more impressed with his ability to escape the Wing's D than Crosby. Just because we won doesn't mean they "suck". Let's just see what happens tomorrow before we check into the overconfidence hotel (borrowing from radio).....

His post game presser was an improvement from last years. Wings held him off the board - that's all that matters. He could show a little more sportsmanship, but really he's still learning, no need to cling on every little thing he says....

Guy's such a tool, at least he's up front with his bias. He love's Cleary too. I loved the comment about whether Cleary's goal in game 7 vs the Ducks was legit and his answer was "he's a good Newfoundland boy" so of course it's good in his book - what a freak. Completely out of line, but he is showing some Wings love this post season.

He contributes, so yes. Best FO guy in the league. Veteran experience, Drapes would only help us in the lineup. Bummed about Datsyuk - can a bruised foot really keep you out this long?

I always liked the Pens. Even when they drafted Crosby I still liked them. However, when the NHL backed Crosby mania took on a life of its own, I started to dislike them. Plus playing them in the finals twice in a row is going to put them into a rival category. They have pretty good fans (sans a few trolls but all teams have them, even us on this board - ). They got rid of Therrien. A Penguin is better than a Duck. I dislike that they are predestined to get a 5-3 every game, and always a PP in OTs. I dislike that NHL commercials feature the Pens over the Wings in the Cup finals when we won. I dislike that Bettman makes his love for the Pens so obvious.

She's smokin something. I've had the Ticket on all morning - no such news - and they are updating often. Don't believe it. Right now we have no credible sources of anything - probably won't know til tomorrow or Sat.

Z is fine. Maybe Burnout needs to be sent a video of Hank setting up the GWG for Cleary in the third period of Game 7 vs. the Ducks. Or a picture of him with the Conn Smythe last year. Really, he is just looking for any kind of story....

It's nice to have a rival in the Central - and not Nashville or Columbus. Not quite a series for the ages, but 4/5 games were tightly contested - 3 OTs. Will be interesting to see what the Hawks do in the off season. My recommendation - dump Quenneville although that would not be good for the Wings....

I'm a little worried about the quick turnaround and getting our guys back. If not for that, Wings in 6. Given the uncertainty, I'm going Wings in 7. Pens have the benefit of having been smoked by us a couple of games in last year's SCF - but I still don't think it will be enough....playing in the East will only get you so far.

Whatever Rafalski had a few weeks ago. It was one thing to step up for one game without these guys. I'm a little worried about asking the team to do it again, but I think they are up to the task. Hope Huet is in....and then out.

You can get away with that when you play in the East. Congrats though to the Pens for two trips in a row to the SFC. Hopefully this puts some pressure on our boys to close out the junior Hawks tomorrow night. Until then, I feel I shouldn't discuss....

I've got a team for you - they are called the Colorado Avalanche and their wagon has plenty of room on it....

I thought the NHL was toast when I had to watch Calgary-Tampa, then Edmonton-Carolina. Although I'm biased, this is a much better match-up than what we could have gotten (if indeed we get there...). Plus, if other teams have something to say about it, than they can just beat Detroit or Pittsburgh. It's a level playing field - do something about it instead of complain about it.....

While I'd rather not see a week+ off between series, that is the first thing I thought of too - that the NHL sees an opportunity to keep Datsyuk and Lidstrom out of the first games and give the Pens the edge. Bettman wants his boy to win - this is a subtle move that hopefully backfires in his face.

Can we please vote these people OFF the bandwagon who have to pick someone who "Sux" - esp a guy who has helped us win four Cups. No he's not a spring chicken anymore, and he hasn't played as big of a role this POs, but he plays his part and he's a team guy. Really, how old is this OP, ten?
