I feel bad for their fans. Their team finally puts up a fight, has a good chance to win, probably in OT, then they commit a stupid penalty right in front of the ref. At least they got a good bang for their buck at this game though. -

Green has sucked in the Caps series vs the Rangers. I know that is not counted towards the voting, but he is not bringing it when it counts. Chara is a better all around defenseman than Green - I can understand people voting for him because players have to alter their game plan to play against him. Green merely scored alot of goals - which of course is sexy and could very well win him the trophy - but I think it's bogus. -

I find it a bit unprofessional how much Hradek is bragging about voting for Green - right now on NHLlive - he even had Green on the show and told him he voted for him. That's nice and all, but how about keeping a lid on it until they announce the winners.... annoying. Nick needs to hoist the big trophy this year again. -
Canucks fans already planning Stanley Cup parade route

The Canucks have never scared me. They have a good team this year, but outside of the Sedins and Luongo I cannot really name anyone else on it.... Luongo is a good goalie, but he's only played in 16 PO games his entire career including this year. This is only his second time making it to the second round. He hasn't established himself as a goalie to fear in the POs. Plus, how much can one make out of sweeping the Blues? -
There's just no good side here - either Pronger wins the series or Lemieux wins the series. Which is the lesser of two evils? I'd like the Sharks alot better if that ******-bag fossil wasn't wearing one of their jerseys....

Columbus is done like burnt toast. The WCF Stars team was much better and PO hardened than this Jackets team. It's like boys vs. men out there. I usually do not get too haughty about the Wings winning a series, but I have seen absolutely nothing from the Jackets which indicates they could turn this into a series.

I must be older than you, 1994 and 2001 weren't so nice either. Plus we had the entire 80s...... decade to forget. Sharks never had a 40 year Cup drought - they don't know what suffering is!

I said that a few weeks ago too. Things change fast. Nabokov is pretty good goalie - but if the Sharks cannot turn this around - I would maybe look at a fire sale.......

I hate Pronger too - as long as I find myself rooting for the Ducks, I'd rather have Getzlaf score all their goals.....

The Sharks are playing the Ducks exactly like the Wings did in 2003. Alot of shots on paper - but not alot of goalie traffic (some but not enough), and the attitude that they were destined to win the series before it started. That's why we lost in 03 and that's why the Sharks will lose this series.

21-20 is one game over .500, not "way" over .500. It is fair to count OTLs as a loss - if you look at winning and losing streaks the OTLs are counted as losses - and would be so in the POs. I always consider a Wings OTL as a loss myself - point awarded or not. The point is the Sharks were not that dominant on the road. They will have to win 2/3 at the Pond - doable but a tough task.

Totally agree - had nothing against the Sharks until they signed that fossil that dwells in the fires beneath the earth's surface. Seeing that *&%$^# on the ice makes me puke - sorry for their fans - but would love for the curse of that guy to take down the ship....

Wings cannot draw the Hawks in round 2 unless St Louis comes back from 0-3 and the Sharks come back from 0-2.

You don't have to remind Wings fans how it feels. First round Wings flops: 1994 (Sharks btw), 2001, 2003 (know how it feels to run into a hot Ducks goalie), 2006 (Pres trophy curse). However, we sneak in a few Cups in between the flops, so it makes up for it. I still say the Sharks make it a series, but I have a feeling it will be like Dallas last year.... we'll see.

Blake and Lemieux - way past their prime. Roenick is as much of a perennial choke artist as anyone. Mclellan is a rookie coach who is trying to just use a page out of the Babcock/Wings system to get this team to win. I'd take Datsyuk anyday over anyone on that team....

That's a high achievement for that bunch of underachievers. Put all their energy into being the #1 seed overall - I'm feeling a bit of regret for berating the Wings for putting it in cruise control the second half of the season. Thought the Sharks would wait until at least the second round to choke. Are the Ducks this good? Or could the Sharks really be this inept....?

Apparently they shouldn't. WOW - same bunch of NO SHOWS every year. Please never ever let Joe Thornton on our team. This makes up for all the a$$ kissing I had to endure for the Sharks all year. I do have to feel a tad bit sorry for their fans - not that they couldn't come back and win the series, but take 4/5 from the Ducks with 3 games at the Pond....odds are against it.

lol I was going to say how long until a Sharks PP? then just like clockwork.... This is ridiculous - and I don't even like the Ducks. They are outplaying these pretenders and this ref crew is trying to stick it to them.

These f*&^%ers get more PPs than a hooker gets tricks. And they are STILL 0-5. I know it's the Ducks, but you cannot tell me with a straight face that Anaheim has committed 5 penalties to 1 for the Sharks. At least the Ducks cashed in on theirs. OK here's a strange cheer: GO DUCKS
