er, what are you talking about? noone ever checks our stubs again once we are in the game. We even had club level and I never showed mine. As long as noone is challenging you for your seats - you should be fine. Will call should be able to replace them anyhow, if really lost... never heard of that.. Anyhow, good game in the end - Wings came up short against a team they very well should beat...such is the norm. I bet they play better vs. Chicago....

Yes Have to give them credit after blowing in the first. Couldn't understand no Hossa in the SO either, but gotta give Babs his due. Wings are ok a lull - this Avs team is VERY beatable... Ps. Wings fans were great - way 2 support your team!

I'm expecting alot from the Wings tonight after losing to the Preds. The Avs are not even as good as the Preds - they are a very mediocre team that the Wings should have beat a few weeks ago. Budaj is back in net - imo the Avs would have a better chance with Raycroft after he played so well vs. us the last time. With Stastny out now too - they have little fire power. We need to win!

If the voting were today - Boyle would get the trophy. Nick has better stats than Chara right now though. Weber won't get it because he plays for the Preds. Still alot of hockey to be played. Personally, although I love Nick racking up the Norris's I'd rather have the Cup! Here's hoping for that.

You make an excellent point about our GT development in your post (full version omitted). I suppose before the lockout the Wings could always rely on an expensive trade (Hasek) or expensive free agent (Cujo) to fill the starting goalie needs. In the cap era, developing your own goalies will be more important. Not saying they should fire Bedard, but the Wings should at least look at the situation. Maybe things will change with McCollum - guess we'll have to wait and see - like we've been doing with most of the guys you listed for years.....

I've been avoiding goalie threads until now. I've been patient with our GT, but at this point something is very wrong with Osgood. I have been asking myself this - did Osgood empty the tank so to speak in last year's playoffs? Was his performance at such a high level which he cannot reach again? I've re-watched some of last year's PO games - and this is not the same guy in net. Now I hope he just has an extra-long Stanley Cup hangover, but I'm starting to worry. I'm hoping he improves and I still think it will happen, but I am asking myself in the back of my mind if I saw the best of Ozzie last spring??

This would actually be a good thing. However, I don't see it happening since the two teams are in different conferences and will probably meet only once per year for the foreseeable future. If both teams make the SCF again this year, it could get interesting, but the likelihood of that happening is not great. The Wings could use a good rival - please not the Ducks and the Sharks potential rivalry never seems to materialize, the Avs are going downhill, the Hawks are a distinct possibility for the near future - I'd be OK with a Pens rivalry - as long as we keep winning.

Well my son got a free Avs jersey as a promotion at the Avs-Lightning game last weekend (real Reebok NHL one too). He loves the Wings at an early age but I'll let him wear the Avs jersey - why not? We live in Denver afterall. I caught a free Avs Tee-shirt too at the same game. While I will be entirely clad in Red at the Dec 27th game, I would definitely wear the tee-shirt to a non-wings Avs home game. After all, I need to do something to encourage them to win, so we can meet them in the playoffs again and steamroll......

Nice SO win! 3-0 in December - going to just go with it and not complain about the details. Beat 3 good teams too....

It's nice to have some competition from a good team within our division. Still - Go Wings! I have this odd feeling we'll be seeing this team in April or May.

He's a curse. I find it ironic that a Stars team that was supposed to be an up-and-coming team to compete for the West title - signs Avery to a dumb contract - and promptly tanks their season from the getgo. I know they have alot of other problems, but bad karma can go a long way.....

Kind of disappointing that we lost to two orig six teams in a span of 4 days. However, the Wings are still 8-2-2 in the month of November, and given the choice, I'd take that for each month for the rest of the season.... Definitely some things the team needs to work on. Some of the comments on here crack me up - ever been through a 82 game season before?

Yes I've had this argument on Av's boards: Lemieux is really a nice guy who is misunderstood while Bertuzzi is clearly an A-hole. I think Lemieux is an ass and I had hoped not to ever see him in the NHL again - wtf with the Sharks - they don't need some washed up old fart like that the way they are playing - I just lost alot of respect for that organization....
