It's McCrimmon, and since McClellen (Sp) left look what happened. Our "D" sucks and San Jose is the top team in the West. I personally think that it must take a while for a new coach and the players to build a rapport and get to know each other's strengths, etc, but it's getting a little late now. Our "D" needs some serious work on the basics, and they are not playing with confidence in front of Ozzie, just as they did to Hasek when Hasek sucked at this time last year.

Oh well, I got to see the Cup at the Toast of Hockeytown last Monday so i'm still smiling from that.

Even though Lilja didn't even get a shot, I love him for that hit on Tootoo, and throwing the gloves in this game.

Oh yes he did! I was at the SJ game and lost my voice it was so good. Glad they beat them, and would rather them lose to the Preds instead, but not like this!

Not sure about the student tickets, but thought that they are available on game day only at the Ticket office at the Joe. Check for the 9.00 tickets on-line though, i'm sure the seats are comparable and you could always move closer after the first if you want. I know there were 9.00 tickets for games next week, so keep checking.

Wow, if you could care less then why are you posting pages on this subject? I may not post a lot, but I have always respected your opinions on here. This, obviously, is something you just feel strongly about or you woudn't be spending so much time trying to defend it. Why don't you realize that we feel strongly about it too? No, don't apologize. We have every right to "FEEL" the way we do and have our opinion about this. It's funny how the people oposing it are the ones calling Crosby a "******" and attacking people in this thread for feeling the way we do about how Crosby handled this. No one is disputing that Lids and Dats should not have been suspended. We aren't all in here calling Crosby names, but there are a lot of us who lost respect for Crosby and this is the exact place that we can talk about it. If people feel so strongly about arguing our point, rather than attacking people and calling names, why don't you just ignore this thread? I don't get it. No one will change my opinion on how Lids and Dats got bad press all weekend, I feel that Crosby only fed into that, and I have no respect for him. This is not a "***** fest", it's our opinion.

Crosby showed up for the media this weekend claiming he was injured, and IMPLYING that Dats and Lids were NOT injured. He definitely got an excemption from this rule, and further went on to make statements that he should have kept his mouth shut about, BECAUSE he is a captain and in my opinion should at least ACT like he has respect for other captains. I don't care if he was any other hockey player, could care less that it is Sidney Crosby, I think that b/c he is a captain he should have kept his mouth shut. Claiming he was injured and now playing tonight without a second thought is a bunch of crap. He should have been sitting out as PER THE RULE just like Dats and Lids did as he did not play in the ASG. I have no respect for him.

Anyone know Stuart's actual injury? Babcock said post game last night that he wasn't sure the proper term, but called it a "rib cartilage" problem. I guess I was wrong when I thought I heard Stuart was feeling better after the break. I would love to see Ericsson also.

Don't say I didn't warn you Zubo! It's been 6 years and some people are still pretty pissed that he left. I'm hoping for a win for the Wings this Saturday but this is one game I have been anticipating all season. Hope to see lots of signs!!

Nice! Did you hear what Daniels said about Mason? He said he should have been the big story here by not playing, b/c he could be up for Calder or Vezina this year. Keating joked with him and said, "You ignorant little ****." Haha! It was priceless. Can't WAIT for the game to start.

I do think someone should have represented not just the Wings, but the Stanley Cup team this year also. There are a few single guys who could probably have gone, and would have been honored to be there, but I still think the time crunch was too much. I just saw Lids on the news who said they knew about the rule (of sitting out a game, not that he still could have been exempted), and thought the best thing for the team was for him to sit out. Also, Babcock said on Channel 4 news that he is all for the ASG, believes it is very important, but after this the NHLPA and Bettman will have to iron out this rule and they could call it the "Lidstrom rule," and from now on if you miss the ASG, you sit out a game. I love Babcock!

I'm all for it if they would get rid of the new girl they have doing the "season ticket holder of the game." She is getting a "little" better but she still sucks. I think it is hilarious watching the jaws on the men around me drop when Newman sings, or the chicks dancing on the jumbotron. I don't know if some of them could handle a pretty girl in a skirt on the ice.....seriously.

Here's what I know, so maybe you can answer the question I have. Neither Pavs nor Lids were voted in, they were invited, which I think came way after the votes were announced? Then, they both obviously stated they weren't going to attend the ASG on either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Bettman asked if Hossa and Rafalski could fill in, and they both said, "Nope, got plans." Ok I know they make a lot of money, and they are in a sport that has "fans" but seriously do you think they or any other Wings player should give up a week of vacation with their family to attend the ASG? Seriously.....so my question is how do you suggest they should have sent someone with that short notice?

Kira, where did you meet them? Are you going to the Toast this year? I probably shouldn't have wasted the time I have being on here and reading all of the articles about this, but the whole thing just bugs me. Even their biggest (so-called) fans are questioning their loyalty, although I guess I should keep in mind that they would have been flamed for going injured also, lose/lose situation.
