    Datsyuk or Fedorov

Heroes of Hockeytown, I am impressed. You couldn't have said it better. I admit I looked at your age, as I think people who truly didn't watch Sergei play have no idea what an amazing player he was. Pavel is my favorite player presently, and I don't think he is near his prime yet. There is something about the Russians, but Sergei in his prime gave me goosebumps. His two-way play definitely took over a game, and he had moves that "wowed" people with his puck control and speed. I think i'm pretty lucky to have been able to watch Sergei, and now to be able to watch Pavel.

Anyone want to help me make a Hudler fan site?

I have a great pic of him dressed up in a velvet black jacket from this year, and his face in this pic is priceless. PM me with your e-mail if you want it.

    Official Red Wings Parade Chat

Seriously, my best friend is at Cheli's and they have the cup in there right now. Cheli, Ozzy, Hudler, and Downey are drinking from the Cup and pouring it all everyone. The news stations just got there too, so maybe it'll be on the news. I SUCK FOR BEING HOME RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! The parade rocked today though!

    Darren McCarty

Never having an addiction to alcohol, but knowing personally some alcoholics, I can imagine there probably were a few times in that dressing room that he looked sideways at that champagne, especially on a night like that. I give him HUGE props, and i'll be screaming D-Mac as he goes by in the parade tomorrow. LOVED his interview with Ozzie, especially when they joked about Drake being so old he fell asleep twice during the OTs in game 5!

If we win game 5 - Celebrations in Downtown?

Well Detroit will be the best place to be by far, but if you can't make it there Royal Oak will be insane. As OsGod said, ANYWHERE in Hockeytown is going to go nuts (if they win tonight). I know we are getting ahead of ourselves but I can't contain my excitement and anticipation!!!!! Heard Drapes on the radio this morning and it got me even more pumped.

If we win game 5 - Celebrations in Downtown?

LOL Matt! You better go! People will be hanging from the street lights. Oh, and did I mention topless girls? I swear the cops didn't even say anything to them, they just basically let everyone celebrate. They do close freeways going INTO Detroit after they win the cup, so if you're not already down there don't plan on going near the end of the game as you own't be able to get into Detroit, only out. It's something you'll never forget, and it's the reason we are HOCKEYTOWN!

If we win game 5 - Celebrations in Downtown?

The Post and Cobo Joes on Congress will be packed after the game, GUARANTEED. It will be crazy everywhere you go. so don't worry about having to look for action. One year I was on the Diamond Jack boat, and the Wings won the cup. We got off the boat right after the game ended, and even off of Jefferson where the boat docked it was packed with people and newspapers were already being sold with the Wings winning the cup on them. Royal Oak will be INSANE. (I live there). It took us an hour to drive three blocks down Main street the last cup, and EVERYONE was high fiving from cars, etc. Oh, and for the boys......there were even girls who took their tops off all over the place. It was absolutely insane, and i'll never, ever forget it. WOW i'm pumped for tonight!!!!!

How does standing room work @ the Joe?

Just ask an usher regarding whether your tickets are in the new folding seats they added. My standing tickets also had "row" and seat numbers , but they were only for standing. I went last night (it was A M A Z I N G!) and we got our spots in SRO a little early. A guy will come and check your tickets, and give you wristbands as people tend to try and stand there during the game. You can stand behind both goals. It is marked on the wall where "standing" is, and on the floor is a red painted line to stand behind. We had a lot of room where I was standing, but looking around other places were really cramped. Anyways, you can see the game really well. I went a few hours early, grabbed a bite to eat at Cobo Joe's and i've never seen the atmosphere like that around the Joe. I could not believe the amount of Pens fans, and actually they were all pretty cool. I'd yell "Go WING!" every time I walked by a Pens fan, and they would laugh and yell "Go Pens!" I even stood next to three pens fans in SRO, and although I was annoyed at their insanely yelling Go Pens at first, we all settled down and actually had a good time together. Their chants got REAL quiet after the first period. Of course they admitted they were pretty apprehensive after seeing the Wings play. Anyways there was a pre-game Barbeque behind the Joe right on the river. They had a band, a beer tent, etc. It was PACKED everywhere with people. I'll never forget it. My point is, go early! I hope you have an amazing time at the game! GO WINGS! I am just getting my voice back, by the way.

Standing Room tickets still available for Game 2

I was in SRO last night and had lots of room to dance and cheer. Actually you aren't aloud to walk out into the isle (except to cheer after a goal of course) so there wouldn't be 3 deep in SRO. I have no doubt that they said it on VS though. I'd be really upset if that happened after the money I paid to go. WELL WORTH it though!! Whoever I met from Letsgowings last nigh, send me a PM!! I forgot your screen name, but it was nice meeting you.

SRO Tix avail on TM right now for Game 1

Chaldeon, I SOOOO wish I would have seen this yesterday!!! I bought four SRO tickets for 800.00 SRO!!! Now, I have two people who have backed out, and it looks like i'll be inviting people I know for free just to use the tickets at this point. I could have had 2 suite tickets for 300.00, spent the night in a SUITE, and saved myself 500.00!!!! Someone pour me a drink......

Don't believe what local 4 said last night

LOL! I caught that too and thought they could have put a LOT more effort into researching an hour long segment by at LEAST giving the right information. At least they got "seive" right!

    Ex-Wing Konstantinov sues for $300M

I know the Toast of Hockeytown used to be a benefit for Vladdi and Sergei, as my old tickets even have their names on the stubs. I think Fedorov and Larionov had a lot to do with that. The past two years it has been for Children's hospital of Detroit, and I wonder why they changed that charity event? I know the wings raise a lot of money for kids in the Detroit area in other ways, and it would have been nice to keep that event for Vladdi and Sergei. I'm sure their medical bills have gotten HUGE.

Yep, i'd be one of those people who bought them for 200.00 ............BUT..........I'm going to the game tomorrow!!!

DON'T FORGET tonight on local 4

I thought it was "ok". The song at the end with the montage got me pumped, wish they would have had more of that. The interview with Kronner was good, and also D-Mac. Can't WAIT until tomorrow!!!!!

LOL Hey, I was quoting the newspaper. I thought Octopi was correct for pleural though.

    Ever Use "Will Call"

Just an FYI, I spoke with Olympia Entertainment today and they advised me to get to will call early b/c there will probably be a long line. I'm planning on going in the afternoon, and heading somewhere to eat before the game. GO WINGS!

    Cost of Octopus

There was just a story about this in my local newspaper. The octopi sold a Superior Fish in Royal Oak (Main and 11 mile) go for 3.95 a pound, and can be from 1 to 10 pounds. If you tell them you are using it to throw at the Wings game, they will boil it for you and supply you with gloves. They also give out "Proper Octoquette" which says that boiling the octopus for one-half hour removes any natural moisture or slime, and will not leave any residue that may inhibit the game once thrown on the ice. The only time to hurl the octupus is after the completion of the Star Spangled Banner, throwing away from players, officials, and personnel. They said that Red Wing officials were at the store recently to film a demonstration to put on their web site, showing how boiling the octopus gets rid of slime. A little Octopus trivia for you.

    Can/Should the Wings Sweep Colorado?

I have SWEET game 5 tickets, so I'm hoping they take the series in 5. We'll see what happens when Foreskin is back, and Theo feels better.

    Aww where's the "other" doggy?

    Budaj or Theodore now?

They said on VS that Jose missed the morning skate b/c he wasn't feeling well, and left after he got pulled for that reason also. Some IV fluid and he could be playing Saturday.

    LNC Assemble! 4/22 GDT

Pronger and Hatcher in the cage first? Actually i'd rather see Pronger and Bertuzzi beat the crap out of each other.
