    Holmstrom Hat trick

He's been wowing us for years but is finally getting the credit he deserves. Just the thought of possibly losing him for a couple of weeks after the hit last night made me ill. Did you ever see the amount of tape he uses on his legs to protect himself from the goalie sticks? I have to mention the goal from the hash mark last night also.... priceless.

TSN: Pronger to Face Disciplinary Hearing

One game to Pronger is less that what could have happened to us if Homer would have been out for the length of the playoffs. That is what is important to think about when taking into consideration what should be dealt to Pronger. I totally agree. I'm sure we were all equally shocked to see Homer return in the 3rd. I thought for sure he had a concussion by the way his eyes looked after the hit. It shouldn't make a difference whether Homer returned or he was out for at least 2 weeks with a concussion (or worse). Call me naive, but I really think Pronger will get the suspension he deserves.

    Holmstrom Hat trick

This is great! The thought ran through my mind last night that even though Homer didn't "fight", he got the Gordie Howe Hat Trick for getting the stitches and coming back out in the third to assist on Flip's goal. The only thing sweeter would be Homer getting a Hat Trick in game 4.

    GAME 2: (4/15) Flames @ Red Wings

Nice to hear that Hank's back feels good and he said he isn't even thinking about it now. Time for Zetta to show us his magic! I'm impressed with the Wing's physical play and it's great to see Flip scoring. I am not a nervous wreck with Dom in net as opposed to last year. Wings in 4 !!!!!!!!!!

Two clutch goals so far! He definitely deserves some praise, it's great to see him doing so well. (Of course i'm a little biased since I am Finnish myself)

    Bertuzzi suffers neck strain

Bert looked fine to me. He stayed the whole practice. I asked several people around me if that was actually Kronwall out there (no numbers on practice jerseys and I couldn't read the helmet numbers from where I sat). They all said yes, and he is the only D-man who would only go out there and skate for a bit and be done I would think.

    Fedorov

I know there have been a kajillion threads about Fedorov, yet here I am reading through four pages again. Can't explain why, I guess I am interested in seeing why people boo the guy. Seriously, has ANY ex-Wing ever been booed before? I can't recall any. It just doesn't seem right in Hockeytown. I knew this would happen, especially since it is the first time I have ever replied in one of these discussions. I have every right to ask people why they boo him. I paid 85.00 to sit in the third row, along with my best friend who drove from North Carolina to see the game. It pisses me off when people boo. I don't tell them not to, and I won't tell you or anyone else in this discussion not to. I have every right to ask why they do it though. As I said, they don't even friggen know why. I am not in "Love" with Sergei thank you. Just because I am a female it doesn't mean I am a puck bunny. I am Canadian, I have watched hockey since I could hold my own bottle. If I saw ONE good reason why people should boo, I'd be done with this conversation but I haven't seen one yet.

    Bertuzzi suffers neck strain

I went to the practice today and Bert was out there. I was worried when he left the game last night. Kronwall skated for a while today also, which surprised me after hearing him during the game last night say he couldn't weight bear on his right leg.

    Fedorov

I attended the game last Tuesday, and asked EVERY person around me who started booing Sergei why they were doing it. They would just say, "Because he left". I asked if they watched the Wings at all in the 90's, and MOST said NO! They stopped booing shortly thereafter. I know the people on this board are serious HOCKEY fans, and most of you remember the two way player Sergei was (heart or not, he gave me thrills with his puck handling). Even after the game at the bar my friend and I went to, I got into the "Booing Sergei" discussions. These people had no recollection of watching Sergei play hockey, nor did they even know how he defected from the Red Army to come to play hockey in Detroit. I think people need to get over it also, but after talking to people last Tuesday I now know that most who boo Sergei have absolutely no idea why they are doing it.

    Join the Red Wave

I attended yesterday's game against the Blues and Fox 2 had people in every isle to organize a "Wave" that will be shown during Playoff games. (I don't know if it was shown on TV yesterday or not) It took a few tries, but eventually the wave went around quite a few times and was the best I had ever seen it at the Joe. Now it makes sense since this is their playoff slogan.
