Thats my whole point about Latendresse. He's in the NHL, he's able to do the job. He would have filled a pretty nice role thats been lackin in this organization for quite awhile now.

you know IM just soo freakin stoked too see a guy like Boogaard playin in this league. The wild are giving him some good ice time. He's just soo awesome to watch. Im just waiting for him to get into a real barn burner of a brawl with somebody in the NHL. McCarty is long past done. I admit I was pissed ripped when Holland let him go, but that was a smart move. He's lost more than his stride these last 2-3 years. So has Maltby though and Draper is on that wagon as well.

agreed. I've heard the rumor regarding his wife as well. And with the Russian Federation playin the game they are you gotta wonder. I mean seems to me the Wings organization might have some pull (Igor's infulence possibly, and all the russians we've had) but still. One is in his NHL rookie season one is not. Don't tell me you'd actually use the stats arguement to try and convice people who are really into hockey. Again lets actually look at the players. i swear to god the sharks could do better....though the arguement of Murray over Bell or Bell over Murray. Whatever neither is gonna take the others spot. One is LW one is RW you can not be this blind. They bring in Murray he is not going to replace Chechoo. I think this rumor is BS. I think the only thing the Sharks need is perhaps a solid vet on D to teach and guide their blueline hotshots...oh and perhaps another goaltending prospect.. Other than that there in damn good shape.

Oh man I remember 2 years ago talking about having Doan here...the arguement wasn't salary. It all came down to skill...Doan sucks, Doan is slow...Doan is overpaid, Doan is Wayne's pet. Whatever. Im with whomever already said it...its Spectors rumors until something goes down. The other thing is Holland has no idea what it is this organization or team needs. Also I would definetly not package Grigs on the deal. AND I highly doubt we could sag Lagy and Doan. We're not the only team struggling and from what I've heard here in a handful of weeks some deals that are already in the talks may go down. p.s. what I love about this site...all wings fans. The thing thats the most awesome is whose coaching this kid, over the summer UAA snagged f*cking Campbell Blair from those Black Bears in Maine. Now this might now mean much to some of you. But let me tell you this...I caught a few Bears games while in Maine. Their D was sick and Blair ran it. I've caught a few UAA games and practises here...Blair is running it again, and hes having them earn every damn min of their playing time. The dude reminds me of Babs. Anyway Im really stoked about the squad we got this year but having Backstrom makes it that much sweeter.

meh hes pretty small....whatever great point producer but its the OHL. Plenty of people have tore it up there and yet when it comes to the NHL or heck even AHL they turn into a ghost.

Bell would have been nice. Hartnell or Upshall would be awesome if they can be had. The problem is there isn't to many 6'2"+ gritty scoring wingers avaible right now. My personal favorite would be Rolston but I just don't see that happenin any time soon.

ya pretty much what Barnesy said..the good news is in GR he's at least playing loads and gettin paid pretty good. And they gave him the C which is well deserved. I really kinda wish the Wings could give him a spot though. Damn Hudler hehehe.
