Technically - we're still very much in the wildcard hunt...Realistically - the team has it's head wedged up it's ass to a point where I feel it's more than just DBoss being out of the lineup. As I mentioned before - throughout this season I've felt we caught breaks where we were outplayed and still managed to win games...That luck isn't around any more and now we're seeing the results.

Kane + DeBrincat = On a more serious note I feel the Kane signing is/was quite fitting considering what Yzerman's goal/s were...Give the kids time to adjust/mature while 'solid' vets via UFA show'em how it's done and if we make it into the playoffs - bonus!

Am I missing sumthin, or does Scott not like Chiarot?

Unless things change real quick starting Thursday night - this season of 'trial and error' with UFAs in favor over kids from GR will likely come to a close and the harsh reality of a continued rebuild will once again be underway.

Ghost is a UFA after this season...Good chance he may not return.

If anything we'll see what the kids from GR can provide starting this fall.

At this rate I'm not sure Kane wants anything to do with this team...

I've felt much of the Wings success this season was sorta 'dumb luck'...How many wins, or OT ties did we have where we were outplayed/outshot? Seems like there were quite a few...Now that isn't the case - no dumb luck to speak of - getting outplayed/outshot has caught up to us...Team looks lost on this losing streak and while we're no super power on paper - I feel we should be doing better (even without DBoss)...I'm thinking this is a repeat of December where the team isn't prepared and that falls on coaching.

Stamkos Center? And here I thought this was a topic pertaining to the renaming of the Lightning home arena - 'Amalie Arena' to the 'Stamkos Center'...

I feel as though this franchise has found itself in that middle pack of teams where we may, or may not make the playoffs, but are highly unlikely winning the lotto/generational player. I guess there's hope that Yzerman and the scouts draft those hidden gems, and signing/trading for better than average vets.

Brendan Lemieux waived by Carolina…Is he a locker room cancer? Seems like he’s been on a handful of teams for such a short career thus far. That said from what little I know of him he’s got some snarl and bite (literally).

Well that's 3 losses in a row for our boys...NYI are only 4 pts behind, won 4 games in a row, have 1 game in hand (well - they play tonight)...Speaking of opponents the NYI have SJ, ANA, LA, BUF, and OTT as their next 5... Good news is outside of VGK, we play AZ twice and BUF twice... I'm liking our odds If the NYI cont to stay hot - we need Philly to crash and burn!
