What's rather unusual/perplexing is how we're winning games when the Wings are being outshot and/or outplayed...I'm not gonna complain about it too much because at the end of the game the Wings have won more than they lost and at this rate there's a damn good chance of finishing in a Wild Card spot. Those same players were there last season and look where the Wings finished...This team is doing things by committee - Sprong, Compher, Kane, DeBrincat, Ghost say 'hi' ...If any one player stands out - to me it's Lyon. Yessss!

If we were guaranteed a spot in the playoffs and Tanev was a depth signing then I'd be all over it, but it's not 2010 anymore Yes and yes. We're certainly better - however it's not because of our young players Holland/Yzerman drafted - it's the 'Misfit Toys' that had been signed, or traded for these past few summers. It's a rather unique rebuild, but the results are there.

Same...Fans/critics love to bash Torts, but the man gets the job done and holds players accountable. Uncle Fester & Co have been getting positive results...I'm hoping December will continue to be a thing of the past and the Wings keep winning.

Our last trip out west was pretty damn good - Wings have gotta finish strong here, or we'll likely be on the outside looking in...If there's any consolation regarding the game against the Edmonton 1st Overall'ers - the performance was solid in periods 1 and 2 - just crapped out in the 3rd. I'm certain the 'good guys/Misfit Toys' will win tonight! LGRW!!!

Was listening to NHL Network on Sirius XM this morning - long time Maple Leaf radio/tv play by play guy Joe Bowen echoed the sentiment with the majority of Leaf Nation...While the crosscheck/retaliation by Rielly was 'wrong' - the message Rielly had sent was acceptable. Now I admit to have had a soft spot for the Leafs (Clark and then later Gilmour era Leafs) and I respect what Bowen has done throughout his broadcast career, but ever since the 'pretty boy trio' arrived Tronna can f**k off.

At this point I'd just assume stand pat with regards to the TDL - unless of course a rival GM makes Yzerman an exceptional offer...This current squad has that 'misfit toy' camaraderie.
