Dylan is a 70-85 pt center as long as their are decent linemates, and also, he plays middle of the road average defense for a center. I admit that probably qualifies him for 1C in the league, but he's nowhere close to Zberg or Dats. He's signed on for like 8 years now, so I won't waste my time complaining, but I do think Seider would make a better captain. It's almost a crime that the leader this kid is isn't the captain. Larkin has the same leadership personality as Darren Helm. -
Good points, but I'm much more with Dabura on this one. Sprong is gone. And I wouldn't be surprised if he's hot commodity on the UFA market this summer. I remember in his draft year he was one of those picks that was like "you could get him in the 2nd, and there's a chance he could turn out to be one of the best players in the draft." So, as I've mentioned this before, I kinda kept an eye on him. Then when the Penguins ended up trading him after early disappointments I lost all faith. I remember thinking, ah another Jurco fake good player. And honestly that wasn't that wrong of an assessment back then. He was BAD for the Pens, Ducks, and Caps for multiple years. But Ron Francis saw something I and multiple teams didn;t see.... Last year he had his coming out party with Seattle. I watched more than a few of those games, and I was surprised to see him finally performing, and honestly thought he would go get overpaid by someone after the year. He was good. So I was extra surprised when SY was able to sign him for so cheap. I agree with Dabura that most GMs probably viewed him as a player who struggled for years, and then had a flash in the pan season with Seattle. But he's proved now with us that i's not flash in the pan. I love the way he played for Seattle and I love how he has played with us. He's become a late blooming legitimate middle 6 scorer. If he has any brain in his head (he hasn't made a lot of money in the NHL so far) he will reject every offer SY makes and go to the free market to get his payday. There's no way Sprong is on this team next season.

>badluck Luring an aged but productive superstar to Detroit at low cost, with the current state of the team, is masterful GM work. Wings fans... are we already spoiled again? We had no business signing Patrick Kane at all. But Yzerman got it done. Shut your mouths and appreciate it. My favorite, and simultaneously least favorite, thing about the wings fan base has always been how spoiled we are. It's fun to look down on the inferior sub-teams when we have Lidstrom and Yzerman and Zetterberg and dominate for over a decade. And I encourage this behavior. But when we have no business bragging, STFU and appreciate what little we have. Suggesting near ppg Patrick Kane is a problem is insane, and every other team would love to have him at the price we got him. Talking about luck is just insane in general. And yes I realize OP is a bait fish. But I feel like it's good time to point how much of a large stride we made this past year. We are on track to be looking down our nose at the rest of the league again in a few years. I truly miss the days when I could walk into a Vancouver bar on a night they're playing Nashville or something, in my Wings jersey, and both fan bases chant F the Wings. I miss being universally hated for our yankee level success so much. But fuqqing know when it's time sock betch.

Hopefully he can condition himself the rest of the season. Everyday that goes by I thank Yzerman for continuing to draft goalies with high picks. All the folks who were saying don't draft goalies high and just throw some rando in there because Niemi won a cup one time can get rekt. Even after all the good attempts to shore up this position we are still struggling in net. I'd bet on he's drafting another goalie this year.

Hronek achieves highest recorded slap shot in game at 107.9 MPH We shoulda given that guy a decent partner instead of trading him CBJ Melrose

we have to put an end to this goalie carousel thou. It was Ned, then Husso, now Lyon. We may very well be spinning the wheel again this summer. -

This is our best regards I love Torts. Team didn't play for 58 minutes? I'm not pulling the goalie for you in the last 2. Suffer like the scum you have become. -

This is actually the first season in a long long time that I might actually have one tiny sad feeling when these guys leave. Perron, Sprong, Fischer, Ghost. They've all done exactly what we needed them to. In another life they would have helped filled out our cup team. -

I'm just glad we're still keeping the spirit/tradition alive. It's part of what makes hockey unique and cool. -

The only real enforcer left who can't seem to hang is Reaves. Enforcer is just become something your Abdelkaders have to do instead of having a whole position for a guy like McGrattan I'm liking the Gadhovich kid in Florida -

You, a simpleton, see's something gross,.. Whereas the apex athlete see's the highest form of team bonding possible. Tootoo said in his biography that there was quite a bit of teammates doubling teaming chicks in juniors. Bros that bang hos together, score goals together. -

There's now a 2nd investigation into the 02-03 WJC Canadian team. Apparently a video was recorded of several team members running a train on an unresponsive girl. MAF is the only one still playing. But no statute of limitations in Canada, so if there's evidence involved, former players could face charges. -
