Without looking at any numbers or ages, i would think in theory goalies age better. Just because they dont have to deal with the breakdown in skating speed or take punishing hits through ourlt their career. But really I have no clue. Howard was pretty reliable up until 35, when he hit a sudden wall. But i wonder how much of that was just him seeing his age, the state of the team, and not caring anymore, and letting himself go. Was reading a thread elsewhere that was called "which draft pick absolutely ruined your franchise?" And I clicked on it expecting Zadina to be a promenant topic of discussion. Zadina wasn't even mentioned till like page 25. Just goes to show pretty much every franchise has a few disaster picks like this. It's a bummer no doubt, but not outside the relative norm either. And pretty much every GM has these black marks on their record (even SY), some worse than others. That said, nothing wrong with beating off a dead horse now and then.
