The Yzerplan The Vision Becoming Minnesota Repeating History Help 9/11

Yeah Chiarot has earned his keep this season -
I agree, Kane walking would be pretty bad. He's been a huge shot in the arm that we wont be able to replace. How much great hockey he has left after this season, IDK. But Id also want to keep him to hopefully get Dcat producing again.

Another target for the offseason: RHD, 29 yo, LAK, michigan native, Matt Roy Kings fans dont think theyll be able to re-sign him. Plays very much like a Walman. Create a top4 of Seider, Walman, Chiarot, and Roy, with Edvinsson jumping in on occasion. SY is probably going to keep Petry and buyout Holl unless a coaching change is made, which I think is unlikely. So round out the bottom pairing with Ed and Petry, with Maata as the 7th. -
Graf is expected to sign an NHL contract today. Most ive been able to gather is from Russo who says its come down to 6 teams and Wild are one of them.

What is the benefit of lying to the media?
-
Honesty = cringe This is going in my "good take" collection
-
Maybe players prefer being on a team where the coach protects them publicly? But if thats the case, it begs the question, do we want to attract players who like the idea of being coddled and protected by their coach?
-
I think Trey is gonna be better. Hes dominating college. And hes a freshmen
-
Thats bare min 3 seasons away
-
Its not even that I want a mean coach. I just want an honest one. Like Torts. The media friendly platitudes Derek spits out makes him look like hes an idiot. Whether or not he is behind closed doors who knows. But thats the point. Id feel better about the guy if he acknowledged reality. But I guess SY doesnt want anyone to ever know anything so it is what it is.
-
Whether or not Cossa is actually ready is kind of beside the point. We cant send a tandem of Lyon/Cossa into next season. So we have to find another starter. If SY thinks Cossa is ready for 9 games next season thats fine. I just doubt we will see that.

Or Howard? He started at 25

If you go by even strength ice time per game, Derek believes Petry is the 3rd best Dman on this team. The mind of regard truly is precious

You know what else those picks would have been nice for? Attaching say a 3rd to Holl and dumping him on SJS... or Husso... or Petry.... -
I love seeing the torches being passed Glendog to Eddog Pearsgod to Fingod Zagina to Petrygina
-
Na, he hasnt even played a full season in the AHL yet as the #1. Hes splitting duties with Hutch. Way too soon.
-
Another low key option would be Jack Campbell. Edmonton is expected to buy him out. Hes a mich native and we could probably snag at league min as a third string option.

If you thought the goalie market was fuqqed last summer, its like triple fuqqed this summer. Only guy Id be interested in is Pavel Francouz. But talk around the Avs watercooler right now is hes likely going to retire this summer due to the severity of his injuries. Trading for someone is probably going to be a nightmare with all the other teams hunting. But Markstrom, Ullmark, and maybe even Gibson, will probably be on the market if we are willing to pay the price... For this reason, do we keep Husso another year? It's still too early to bring up Cossa IMO. Lyon will need someone who is at the bare minimum capable of taking over all duties when he falters. If Husso can still do that would be a big gamble. Here's my proposal: DET: Lyon/Husso GR: Cossa/Gylander And then bring in KHLer Ilya Konovalov and let him compete for Lyon and Hussos jobs. Holland drafted Konovalov in the 3rd for EDM. Was a great prospect, but came over to NA during covid, lost the AHL starting gig to Stuart Skinner, and immedately terminated his contract and went home. Since then hes been putting up big seasons for Moscow Dynamo, and hes still only 25. If we can land Feds as an AC I would hope he can lure some russian kids like this into the program.

Does anyone know why Gylander hasnt played at all since being signed 2 weeks ago? Figured hed get in some griffs or walleye games by now

Berube would make sense since hes already coached Perron, Fabbri, Walman, and Husso. And has a ring. Fire Lalonde and Tanguay and bring in Berube and Fedorov. -
Being reported that Bruins are out on Quinnapiac forward Collin Graf. Just speculation... but im seeing a healthy amount that suggests Graf and Truscott will sign with Detroit.

I certainly wont complain if Stevie swings at moves like that. But my preference at the TDL was selling, and i now feel even more strongly about that. SY looking real stupid doing nothing at the TDL then -

Sometimes we bicker, but I absolutely love when the three of us are on point. Notice the opposition crickets yet? -

Found the planner Holland began the rebuild b4 yzerman was even here. Just cause there were still bad contracts on the books doesnt mean anything. Now Yzerman has his own bad contracts. Trash picks? Less than 5%? Time for school https://www.google.com/amp/s/dobberprospects.com/2020/05/16/nhl-draft-pick-probabilities/amp/ 2nd round: 34% 3rd: 27% 4th: 22% Even 7th round picks have a 10-11% chance of producing an NHL player. So your "less than 5%" is coming straight from your ass. Adding 4 more picks in the first 4 rounds would have been huge.
