Apparently Stevie flew to Tronna to personally evaluate Kane and meet with him face to face. And that was one of the reasons Kane signed. Seravalli reporting that there was an alcohol fueled incident involving Perry at a team function on Nov 17th. Team employees and corporate sponsors were in attendance. Ive also been seeing folks on twitter saying he was seen wandering around Columbus drunk after their game there. Guessing hes just got a drinking problem and either got in a fight or got handsy with a lady at the team function.

Emily Kaplan reporting that Kane settled on Detroit after meeting with Lalonde, whom he was very impressed by. She's also saying that Kane has been telling teams he knows he needs to earn his spot in the lineup and does not expect to be on line 1 or PP1 from day 1.
