I'm more so talking about his wrist shot, the chances he's had this year he should easily be sitting on 25 goals right now. He's still young so I do need to remember that.. I don't hate the guy I just expected an elite shooter and he isn't quite there yet. His positioning is his greatest strength imo. I could see him scoring fifty in the future if he improves his shot.

More so referring to his goal scoring totals not his assists. You're right I just hope that stretch lasts longer than 7 or 8 games if not then there's no reason to pay him as much as he's making. Raymond is already better than him and I'm sure he'll use cats contract as leverage to get more money. The point difference is only due to him playing pp1 for that hot stretch to open the season. Even though Ray was always the better option it's not like he has a blistering one timer or elite wristshot any right handed forward on the team can tap a puck into a gaping net. Raymond & Perron are all around better shooters than him. Larkin's wristshot is also better than the cats lol

Lyon seems to be pretty consistent with his positioning and ability to track the puck. If this team doesn't make the playoffs no doubt it'll be because of the inferior blue line. Lou is just desperate honestly that team needs to rebuild they have no chance at winning a cup.

Always thought the guy was overrated

Larkin is having a great year especially when you consider what he had to deal with off the ice. He'd get my vote for mvp

I've been saying these two should definitely play before ghost and petry. Ghost is getting exposed on the pp how many times is Derek gonna watch somebody skate past this guy before he gives someone else a shot. Also how much longer is Walman out? That was the best Ras looked all year, maybe he finally has his legs back? He looked possessed out there lol

Gibbs was out & I think Dave started but got banged up during the game. Either way no way Baker comes into ford field & beats us. He can't play any better than Stafford did & the offense dried up in the second half. I don't see that happening again either, the defense is solid but I don't even think our oline or defense was this healthy when we played them either. I can lol Love is way better than Purdy & that packers defense is legit don't forget they beat us at home this year. They just dogwalked Dallas they can beat anybody. It's so wide open this year I don't think any team has a significant edge.

Defensively for sure but it's certainly improved mostly due to our newfound ability to Muk up the neutral zone. Goaltending wise this is about as good as it's been if not better. Offensively I think we're doing fine 5 on 5 the PP just hasn't been lethal like it was. I'd like to see Cat-Larkin-Ray with Ras hovering the blue paint and seider or Walman on the point. Tired of watching guys skate past Ghost and it's not like he's filling up the score sheet lately.

Yeah I caught that as well.. definitely some good unity going on. It seems like the boys have finally bought into Derek's system. We really are just lacking one defenseman that's at least as good as Walman. Besides Florida & Boston no team in the Atlantic really scares you defensively. If we keep this up & are sitting in 3rd pushing for second by the deadline you gotta go out there & get a legit top four guy if you're Stevie.

Swap out Ghost for Ed & play him with Seider! Ed-Seider Walman-Holl Chiarot-Petry. Chiarot & Petry have been much better in this last 6 game stretch compared to how they played in December. Have you seen Chiarot? He's literally out there mauling people again and I love it. I love walman and yes he's definitely better than Ed but I think playing him with Seider will be good for both of them. They're gonna end up playing together at some point so why wait? Rotate Ghost for Holl depending on the matchup that night.

That's the hardest we've played against them all season. I missed most of the third the lions game was so good I eventually gave them the benefit of the doubt & we pulled it out! But I felt our chances were pretty good against that leaf blue line + Samsonov lol poor guy. Also the Kane injury is unfortunate I'm guessing it's a knee let's hope nothing broke. Derek said he doesn't think it's hip related so that's a sigh of relief. I'd love to see Soder get called up..
