He's gotta add one thing to his game that he can really lean on whether it be to benefit his o or d game. He hustles when he wants to if he did it all the time he'd easily be a 50 goal scorer. Simply just working on his shot and putting on a bit more muscle is gonna make him worth that extension. I have faith he's still fairly young

Up until that OT I'd say we deserved 2 points. Ottowa showed great care for the puck but our forwards need to know when to have a bit more bite. If you can't get the puck at the very least level the guy so he can't jump right back into play.

I think the only way this team doesn't make the playoffs is if we get hit bad with the injury bug. It seems like the boys have truly bought in to the kind of hockey Derek wants them to play. I'm sure either Hudson or Lyon can stay consistent enough to get us to the promise land

Copp has blown me away tbh, just putting him between two guys who work hard isn't making him seem like such an overpay even if the offense dries up a bit just grind them down. The less time we spend in our zone the better.

I think the only negative is the team becoming to Kane - Cat centric. I'd prefer they play apart besides pp when he comes back. Unless they play with Larks in the middle I don't want to see them together.

I think mom laid on her side the whole time when he was conceived lol she didn't throw it back or move at all. That Baby is all Chuk... When it comes to Matthew clearly she was a ride or die that night. Hips don't lie lol

Yeah too much puck watching going on, I think board play is the biggest issue in the d zone specifically with our dmen. Other than Chiarot Seider and Walman no one else seems to consistently handle it well. Stop wrapping guys up Cough Cough Petry, Holl.. just give them a good shove and if it's not gonna put heads into the boards make sure your knocking these forwards on the ice. Other than that I have nothing to complain about puck movement has been great & offensively it looks like we are hitting our stride again. I think it be a good time for Yzerman to make a move. Inject a bit of confidence in the boys and let our young guys get a taste of the playoffs. It would really bode well for next season no doubt.

I don't think Tampa is going anywhere they've been playing much better. The rest of this home stretch is crucial, I'm not discouraged by what I saw tonight tbh. 3 of the goals were on the team not Lyon

Perfect time for Husso to get hot, we should be rotating goalies for the rest of the year. I don't think either is a bad option but I also don't think either is a 1A kind of guy either. Both are 1B at best which is what most of the league has right now anyways.

Am I misremembering I thought he already scored 40 twice? That's the only reason why I ***** about his shot I also feel like he gets to selfless sometimes. Any guy that can pot 40 before 27 has a great shot at scoring 50 imo. This is probably the worst wings team he'll play on so honestly his numbers should only improve from here.

Yzerman has brought that back we've got a great pipeline coming up and I'm sure he'll make some sort of splash this summer. I'm not expecting this team to make the playoffs but I think we could win the division as soon as next season with the right moves. I agree Ed is ready, only thing his game is missing at this point is more grit.

Can't believe I'm saying this but this team is definitely missing Chia tonight. Also Lyon just hasn't been that sharp, I would start the third with Husso and give the guy a break.

Neither of those goals were on defenseman, cat doesn't track his man on the first goal of the second and Kostin took way too long to clear that puck out. Great play by Hintz as he was falling if I'm remembering correctly? Nothing the d could do Lyon shouldn't of opened his legs.

He's stepped his game up for sure but all season long he's been productive. No way Yzernan let's this guy walk, fast can score and has nice bite to his game. Imagine him playing alongside Kasper next season, throw ras or copp on the lw or you could even put Kas there and play Copp at center still. I honestly am starting to believe this team could win a cup before 2030. The team has finally bought in to Derek's system all of a sudden the bottom two d pairs actually look playoff caliber against the leagues best. The chemistry the forwards have rn is something I haven't seen in Detroit in a long time. What a cheeky shot by Cat, his IQ in the ozone is definitely elite I'll give him that for sure.

The kid has a lot of tenacity that's for sure. I like Kips comparison to Kessler I think he'll be a more productive Kess he's got all the tools and the league is more open than it was during the Kess era. Plus as of now there is no Getzlaf on this team that he'd have to play behind. I think his ceiling is a number one center for sure.
