@Axl Foley what happened to his 4 million?
-
Veleno has been on the roster bc we have zero decent centers. Theyre treating him like a prospect still. But last year he actually got some limited special teams time. Im fine with this. Sprong literally doesnt defend and will be signing in the KHL

I havent been very impressed by edvinsson
-
Pearsgod went OFF last season after being dropped by the Griffins. Signed in Czechia and scored 29 pts in 23 games. Arguably the best play on his team. Time to recall him?
-
I can see Yzerman waiting as long as September. These two contracts are going to define much of the next decade for the Red Wings.
-
ASP will be a much better Dman than Edvinsson
-
Debrincat reminds me of Jeff Skinner. Good brain, good legs, good shot, terrible with the puck on his stick.
-
I dont travel for work anymore. But gonna do the red woods and shasta prolly soon.

Wheeler is a doof Not going to rank edogg, berger, or AJo since theyre joining the team. Or goalies. 1. ASP 2. Danielson 3. Kasper 4. MBN 5. Wallinder 6. Mazur 7. Buium 8. Soderblom 9. Buchnelikov 10. Lombardi 11. Finnie Everyone else its either too soon to rank, or too hard to say

I'm aware of what Sprong did in Seattle. I live there. He was also a healthy scratch for the Kraken quite a bit. The guy won't commit to playing defense, so he's never going to rise higher than 4th line minutes. 4th liners don't get paid. Verbeek wanted Fabbri. Go listen to his comments about him. Sucks there was zero market for Walman and Fabbri this year, because those were not traditional cap dumps. He was scratched for games 72, 73, and 74. He returned to the lineup for game 75 because Czarnik got injured. Then remained in the lineup because Rasmussen got injured shortly after.
-
First, Sprong scored 18 goals and 43 pts. Second, Fabbri scored 18 goals and 32 pts in 8 less games, and had to have a pick attached to him to be moved for nothing. So wtf are you talking about? I'm becomg increasily convinced youre not watching the wings or even following the league.

Why have multiple threads about the powerplay? Also my orig handle is 9

I would definitely like to move JTC away from center, but we have so many RW now it looks like he's gonna be 2C again

I assumed wrong. They parked Dylan Strome in front of the net, with two shooters at the point, and 1 foward at each half board. And when they really bear down the two half board forwards move deep into each corner to pick up rebounds, and the two point men come up as far as the top of the circle to just rain point shots. So now im thinking: Ras Kane - Larkin Debrincat - Gustafsson And: JTC Raymond - Berggren Seider - Tarasenko
-
The 18/19 Hawks had Dylan Strome and Toews with them on the 1st unit, so my thought was they were probably running a formation without a net front presence. I'm curious if Newsy will actually use Copp and Ras as pure shutdown forwards again, and keep them off the powerplay. Because we've lost a little bit of depth at scoring forward with Fabbri, Sprong, and Perron gone. 1 of Copp or Ras is going to have to get PP time.
-
On the 2018-19 Blackhawks, Kane, Dcat, and Gustafsson alone combined for 72 pts on the same powerplay unit. I think we can recapture that. PP1: Dcat - Larkin - Tarasenko (LH shot) Kane - Gustafsson PP2: Raymond - JTC - Rasmussen Seider - Berggren
-
Still need that 2nd primo play making center. Love Copp and JTC but they are not fit to run a top6 down the middle on their own. Ghostbear is so bad at defending there was no way he was coming back. Gustafsson is the same style, but I'm hoping the reason his scoring has dropped the last few years is bc he's more committed to defending... hoping
