Uhhhhhhh... where did I say NYR doesn't want to honor his NTC? I've heard nothing about NYR not honoring it. He submitted a 15 team no trade list on july 1 and they can only trade him to the other 17. If you had bothered to read... I said there's a report stating that the OTHER 17 NOT ON HIS NO TRADE LIST no longer have interest, because of his attitude over all this. He's made it apparent that wherever he goes he won't be happy about it and the sour attitude will continue. He's the one refusing to act like a pro here in order to get his way. Guy is cancer.

We sold them Jensen for a 2nd... so Caps essentially paid a 2nd + 3rd for Chychrun? So yeah, Walman + 2nd for nothing is dogshat. To SY's credit, I really do think there was something brewing between DET, SJS, and NYR involving Goodrow, Walman, and Trouba. I don't think it happened all at once, as 3way trades normally do, and they did it in stages, because of the backroom trade clause circumvention that was required to get Goodrow claimed. But now crybaby Trouba has effectively tantrumed his way out of SY wanting him, we are sorta caught holding the bag. Also Chychrun sucks dick at actually defending. He got exposed in Ottawa. No way they were getting their investment back. Just the sens being sens.

I made this comment last night about Trouba's generaly petulant attitude... and well, he's whined and cried his way into getting what he wants again lol Newest report out is teams no longer want to trade for him, knowing that they can't accomodate his family (Which is also probably doublespeak for his poor attitude). I'm sorry but I actually feel bad for the Rags for once. This kid is such a lil baby betch. And honestly it's insulting to all the players in the league. Every year pretty much 100% of players that are traded go through the process without causing any stink. They uproot their families and upend their entire lives, sometimes leaving their families behind to live in another city for awhile, and we never hear a peep about it... almost like it's part of the job. In his end of year callup Edvinsson managed 1 pt. In the same games Petry managed 5. So yeah, he's not very effective yet.

Should revive that thread! As of right now Yzerman has restored the Holland limp train. IMO what he's trying to do is swing just enough to get this team competitive, and the boys driven and confident, but not swing so hard that it will cost him his futures. Then when his draft picks trickle onto the team they find themselves in already competitive enviroment among driven pros. I dont think he cares where in each round he drafts. He's going to try and do this by just being incredibly shrewd.

And she'll probably divorce or cheat on him if he leaves her alone with the baby for a whole year, in the middle of a high stress job. Guy should probably block Detroit and try to see if he can get traded to NJD, Isles, or even Philly. Good drama. I hope it lasts I doubt that actually. The rags are desperate for every bit of cap space they can muster. A 3 mil Dman is not something they want coming back right now. Even after Trouba is gone probably.

He certainly wasn't this past season. He may not even be our most game ready D prospect ATM. Enjoy the hypium though

I do not at all agree. 1. Bad asset management. Yzerman has stated publicly he will keep Berggren and Johansson on the roster next year because he knows either woulf be claimed if he waived them. Waiver exempt guy goes down. 2. Edvinsson is not significantly better than Johansson right now. He's certainly our blue chip with the highest potential, but he's no where near the level of "too good to send down" yet. I don't know what you guys saw that I didn't last year. IMO he was very meh and uninspriring. Which was dissapointing considering Steve and Derek gave him all the icetime in the world to do something with, and really grab the bull by the horns. Don't get me wrong, he did not look like a liability out there, which was good to see, but he also made no real impact on any of the games. Completely replacable at the moment. IMO this is a kid who we are going to have to be patient with. He's on the Hedman route, not the Seider route, and he absolutely goes down if it means keeping Johansson. 3. Gustafsson signing indicates to me that the Red Wings are not confident that Edvinsson is ready for PP duties yet, and perhaps not a roster postion... With Ghost gone, no one on the D can QB except Seider. That 2nd unit QB spot in theory should go to Ed... but if he can't impact the game like that yet, like this past season briefly showed, we now have Gustafsson who can pick up the reins. 4. AJo is a very good player, and very possibly is more ready than Ed is right now. He's 2 years Ed's senior, and while Edvinsson might have the god given natural frame, Ajo has bulked up over the last two seasons and can now throw shoulders with much more authority. Ajo also won't be expected to play the PP like Eddogg will. He's more of a cerebral defensive Dman. His offensive skills are more limited to moving the puck north and out of the zone, and using his speed to jump in on a rush. 5. Yzerman stated at the end of the season that Ed doesn't have a roster spot yet. He'll be expected to again try and out compete someone for a spot at camp. Although regardless of whether he finally does that or not, I expect to see a lot more of him next season barring any setbacks.
