Plante sounds like another Yzerman compete level pick. Kid basically lives in hockey rinks. His grandfather coached. His father coached. The day he was born his parents took him to a hockey game. Said he IS at home he literally just watches hockey lol total rink rat. Fav player is Marchand bc Marchy is small but doesn't take s*** from no one (plante is small). Sounds like the kid is certainly gonna try. Ondrej Beecher could very well be another Lombardi. Both late bloomers that got passed on at drafts, but are now suddenly each scoring machines. In Beechers case he realized his career would be over if he didnt change his game. Committed to completely overhauling it with his coach and now hes a 3rd round pick. Yzerman probably coomed his slacks when he found a kid who listens and works hard to implement what he's told. Still gotta read about our other picks bc u ppl are a blackhole of information

Wait why woul... OH. MY. GOD.

Terrible with the puck on his stick. Okay passer. Great skater. Awesome positioning and shooting. Wouldnt mind, but he doesnt drive play and would need to be conjoined human centipede style to Kane, Larkin, and Raymond (in that order) with him on the end eating all the yummy plays they create for him.

Welp new Gus likely ends the Trouba talk. Probably for the better. DCat - Larkin - Ray Fabbri - JTC - Kane Ras - Copp - Berggren Veleno probably fill the remaing holes with cheap depth bros that our prospects might be able to beat I think our top 9 is probably set. Chiarot - Seider Edvinsson - Petry Maata - Gustafsson Johansson - Holl Gustavsson another PP specialist. Cheaper worser version of Ghost. Insurance in case Eddogg doesn't get his crap together. Because no one can move the puck after Seider. SY probably runs 3 goalies again. So 1 extra D and 1 extra forward again. Time for the most exciting part of the rebuild: sitback and watch prospects slowly trickle up for the next 5-10 seasons.

His nickname is taxi

He could be better than last year. Now that he's pain free he can actually do a real full offseason training. Something I dont believe he's done in 2 years. Sad to see papa perron leave for a rival, but step daddy Kane is more fun to hangout with anyway.

Winnipeg Fans are being hillarious today "Oh no jacob, are you being strong armed into a trade you don't want to do?" But in all seriousness, I don't understand why the Rags attacking his mental health like this. We have to be better than this. Preds are the front runner for Stamkos all of the sudden. Also in on marchessault . OEL to the Leafs.

Pesce signs with the Devils $5.5 × 6 This is a good benchmark for Matt Roy. A $5 × 5 might get it done on him...

A few tidbits on Trouba since we are the rumored destination... >I personally know a kid who played with him in high school. And he always said he never cared for him because he was the type of kid that would tattle to the coach, and his own mom/parents, if anyone did anything that slightly upset little Jakey. >one of the producers on spittin chiclets is an NYR fan and ripped into how bad trouba is live on air. Not anything you haven't heard before from any hardcore fan on a player they dont like. But the next day Trouba took to twitter to address it, but he didnt clap back at chiclets or defend his play, he quoted a buncha suicide stastics about pro athletes, in some bizarre attempt to persuade folks to stop picking on him or maybe he would kill himself? I don't think he's actually suicidal, just stupid and kinda a betch. >Now reports are coming out from NYR that he is not handling the news that he's leaving well. Surprise surprise. I think he's Probably a good kid, but he doesn't seem to handle adversity very well. You expect a leader to be stoic... maybe angry... but the feeling sorry for yourself bit is something he should grew out of a long time ago. I say avoid this guy and is bloated contract.

"...HEY ELAINE" "What is it PUDDY???" "...Feels like a Boss Man Show night" "A WHAT???" "Boss Man Show... DBoss, Mankos, Showtime. I'm puttin em on the same line" "Puddy, are you telling me you gave away Walman for nothing, to save money... and then spent it all on two over the hill oft injured superstars from the 2010s who don't play defense...??" "Yeah that's right" "That. IS. IT. I've had it with your STUPID line combos. WE ARE BREAKING UP" "OK. I'll be at Arby's"

Word is Drury is pissed and has pulled the Trouba trade off the table because of this. Interesting. I wonder how much Kane factored into them trying to move Trouba.

You get to make a whole pitch under no pressure. No other GMs driving up cost and making promises while you scramble to get him to sign on the dotted line. You can put him on the phone with Cooper and explain where he'll be used and who he'll play with. You can pitch the franchise, the staff, the area. Plus you get to find out from Jake and his agent exactly what's important to them in a new contract, and have it tailor made for them before tomorrow. Huge advantage. 3rd rd pick is pricey but there were probably multiple other teams bidding on his negotiating rights. Guentzel is pretty much the last tickle me elmo on black friday. Bribing the store manager with a pick gets you into the store the night before. You can't buy it yet, but you get to see what aisle he's in, what shelf, what price, what financing options there are...so you get a big leg up on the other shoppers when doors open in the morning.
-
They're paying for the right to negotiate exclusively with him. Gives them time to hammer out performance bonuses, trade clauses, term, and actual money paid in each specific year of the deal. Helluva lot better than negotiating while his agent is using multiple other offers to leverage your price up. Even if he goes to market tomorrow the bolts will have a major leg up on everyone else.

Rounds 2-7. Any interesting players? Anyone got a run down or wanna type one?
-
He's just not the raw, oozing talent, fancy playmaker, that everyone wants us to draft (every season). Reminds me of the Rasmussen pick. Nobody really complains about that pick anymore... though I would love to see Newsy give Ras some real offensive minutes this season, but I digress... MBN is probably going to be similar. A swiss army knife style player that can play either wing, and on any line, and be responsible. And just like Ras he'll make the team faster than usual. And of courrse theres sniper potential with his shot. If you listen to Yzerman (and Verbeek) he always says the number 1 thing he looks for is compete level. MBN has that in spades. The new Finnish kid we just traded for has that in spades. Meanwhile Walman was day drinking at the Tin Can on days between games during the slump. Where is he now?

Hey everybody get a load of this idiot who hates ASP!
-
How else would he know who to scout?
-
Aren't you the guy that thought Yzerman takes his scouting orders from NHL central scouting? Lol

If the Trouba trade is real SJS must be involved. Scam isnt this dumb.
-
Yzermans explanation on the walman trade at the draft = very hard to move money right now. Tried to move money and couldnt. This is what it cost. Yet SJS claimed Goodrow from NY for nothing. Right.
