i agree, but i think that's the point. the big deal about that elbow is that wisniewsi was already hurt, and it's being made into something it's not for motivational purposes. it was an elbow. in playoff hockey. think i saw one of them before.

do a youtube search of "pronger elbow" and compare it to a search of "holmstrom elbow". i know this doesn't prove anything, but geeeeez.

which NHL player wouldn't take an elbow to their face in exchange for a disallowed goal in the final minute? if the wings had scored and then came back to win, then i can justify all of the complaining. the word "gutless" has to be thrown out there every other series, it's in the books. he's just trying to ruffle the wing's feathers, so to speak, and spark the ducks. there are nasty elbows being thrown around in every game, and i highly doubt holmstrom knew james was bleeding internally and decided to smash in his face. it was a nasty elbow, no doubt. i'm glad he's ok. but enough vilifying homer.
