Playoffs in a week! I am excited and scared!!!

I don't care about the rest of the games. Forfeit them all. Look at the last week: Krommers is gone for the season, Lidstrom is "sore", Markov almost bit it for a few games and Lebda had a concussion! We can't risk any more injuries, especially against a bunch of teams that have nothing to play for (except for their jobs). Play the Griffins in the Wings uniforms and let's get to round 1 already!

I enjoyed Brett Hull. I think today was a test-run for the playoffs or next year in that they want to move Hull into a commentary position.

I'm really excited for tonight's game. This is an extremely imporant week to see how we will match up against three potential playoff opponents with a nearly full roster. I hope Giguere plays tonight and his wife doesn't go into labor until tomorrow because I want to play against the Duck's A-game.

I was in the WDIV suite for the Habs game. What a cool suite, for those that haven't seen the pictures. It's completely COVERED with hockey memorabilia. I agree that it's great to watch the plays develop from way up there, but it just doesn't feel like you're at the game. There definitely is a feel of separation from the action. My favorite place to watch the game are my cousin's seats: 2 rows behind the Wings' tunnel, right off the aisle. It's so close, you can smell the sweat and my adrenaline never stops flowing. The seats also have a great perspective into the Wings' bench.

The problem the Wings have (and have had for a couple years now) is that they play at their opponent's level. It's very rare that they completely blow out a team. (except for the first game against Phoenix) To an extent, it happened in the playoffs last year and the year before.

I would like to see Bertuzzi on a line with Lang and Calder. It could be the acquisition line since all three players were trade deadline acquisitions.

I've been quite disappointed with 24 this year.

I really hate when the refs decide a game. 32 penalty minutes is just ridiculous. Of course, 10 of those were a game misconduct, but 22 is beyond belief. You can't tell me that the nucks weren't doing the same things the Wings were. It was mostly one-sided calls that were legitimate penalties, but they weren't being called on Vancouver.

I remember how he spoke out in the media (through his father) about hating it when Bowman had to place him back there due to injuries. I wonder how long this will last.

Datsyuk has moves, but I don't know how accurate he is. Kovalev is amazing. I wonder how many times he missed. Regardless, he hit a few in a row, which is mucho impressive! (though, I'm always impressed when a player is able to intentially deflect a puck moving at 80-95 mph out of the air and past the goalie in a split second)

Does anyone know what time in the third period of today's game Datsyuk made a phenominal move in the Wings' zone to keep the puck away from the Avs? Thanks!

Sean cares about hockey but he doesn't really care about the Wings. He is a huge Habs fan. He cares about the Wings in that he cares about hockey in general and the health of the sport.
