Pavel, Hossa, and Hank were busy the entire series killing off Penalties, back checking, and playing defense. You will see a different team come the series against the Hawks. Like others have said in various threads, we won without out top guys scoring buckets of goals and the other players contributed. That alone speaks volumes of this teams ability.

So Carolina is in the Eastern Conference Finals and the Wings are in the Western Conference Finals... Osgood during the regular season had similar stats to when Ward won the Cup.

Hawks has every right to be happy about being in the Conference Finals. They have a very solid, fast, and young team. They had an excellent year and turned it up a notch against other teams when trailing in thr 3rd.

Just got home from the sports bar watching the game with some LGWer's again. Food was good, service was good, and scene was more than excellent. Sad to see the Wings not be able to get rebounds, complete passes, and not show up for 1/2 the game. It was a tough loss.

So a few fellow Wing Fanatics were sitting around a table at a sports bar. Food was good, service was crap, yet the scene made up for it. So there was a real quick, but interesting debate on a play. If a player has control of the puck, skates backwards into the zone, enters the zone before the puck, is it considered offsides or onsides? Please discuss...

Your talking about 2 players, one already in the zone... The rule is set up for only the puck carrier with control and no one else on his team in the zone.

I totally agree that we are overpaying for Franzen. The man should only be making 1.5 million and be playing on the 4th line!!!!

Cleary's leg did not hold up Hiller nor did it keep him from making that save... Hiller barely even moved on that goal. Even though Clearly was in the crease and right behind Hiller. Anyone else notice that the Ducks have a player named Miller? Hiller- Miller? LOL

It is amazing... Cleary was the 3rd star of the game last night, has killed off some timely penalties, and scored some big goals in this playoffs. Where do people get off making threads about his skating abilities? Koper spends for time on his back after a hit than a prostitute. Get real people.
