I think I said somewhere in the past I would personally drive his ass to the airport or box him up and send him to Abu Dabi like Garfield does with Nermal.
-
When the Flyers show up to play, I love their "anything goes" style. *goose bumps*
-
Well you did not ask me how I feel about Kopecky. You can ask Doggy, HR40, Hockey Matters, and etc. I can not stand him taking up space on our roster. I would rather have Helm, Leino, and Drake on our 4th line. Once again, all 3 players have more talent than "you know who."

Does this enforcer has speed? Can he play 2 way hockey?
-
Malkin is the the man. Looks like we have a game.
-
Would that be considered being undisciplined like I stated in the "Would you want Cindy" thread?

Wings have not had one in 10+ years which spans the changes from the old NHL to the new NHL. Grouping McCarty with Downey last year is still irrelevant as McCarty is past his prime and Downey is currently in his prime. Comparing a young player who is currently in their prime to a older player past their prime makes no sense. The new "NHL" applies to the Wings as do the rules. Too many holes in this thread. This organization is about 2 way hockey and will be for sometime. The Wings are not coached or built like the Wild, Edmonton, or other teams. Chemistry and dynamics is different and very unique as we like offensive minded D, defensive minded F, and etc.

I do not compare the Wings to the rest of the league because I think the Detroit Organization is the best managed and talented one around. You can not compare McCarty to Downey. McCarty was a good 2 way player in his prime while being an enforcer. He could put up points, maybe not 60 in a season, but close to 50: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=3515 And 2 players playing 1/2 season combining to play a full season makes no sense once again. That is 2 roster spots being taken up and paying 2 players salaries. Oh yeah, McCarty's best years were before the "New NHL". Sames goes for Lapointe. Going to ask again, when was the last time the Wings had a true enforcer on the lineup, who was a regular for an entire season, did not play 2 way hockey, and was there to "goon it up" as you put it
-
When is the last time the Wings had a untalented goon in their lineup for a full season?

You and RWL87 know your stuff. Verdict is still out on some others.
-
Wings should sign him on the off season as an enforcer because he has grit. Here is a video of the incident.

I know a lot of women who are like this, this is why I was curious. I still think it is awesome she is hardcore and dedicated. RedWingsLady87 is smart about hockey and knows her stuff. Glad she is on board with growing out her beard.

Bob Probert: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=4391 Man was an enforcer and could score. Of course that was in the old NHL. My point, the Wed Wings have so many players that play good 2-way hockey and play physical when need be, we have no need for an enforcer. And yes, enforcers had to change the way they played in the new NHL. Good example, Bertuzzi.

LMAO. She left you out to dry like the CBJ's defense did to Mason. I truly feel sorry for ya, I do. You were trying to be nice, but sometimes people do not get the message of "expression." Do not edit your ranting post, it it funny to be honest. I am just giving you another side to your situation because I found it to be somewhat similar. Your friend and you should "have a talk." For some foot notes, the faculty (professors) know I funded our project and did a lot. All that matters. Gist of it, nice people get effed over like no tomorrow. My back hurts from people walking all over me. People being considerate is on the endangered species list I think.

Crosby is a talented player yet he lacks discipline and composure. As others have pointed out, Malkin is more versatile.
-
No need for the Wings to have an enforcer. Thanks for proving my point. Wed Wings play solid 2 way hockey and have southern grits built in. What more could you ask for?

Over the last 6-8 weeks a group of us "students" had to do a proposal for a pilot study. I ended up finding 95% of the evidence based articles. The group wanted to meet on numerous occasions and well, they ended up cancelling, changing the times, and etc. We also has to create a poster for "research day" (it was optional, but you would get 5 extra points by doing it). I bought all the supplies and etc, I am out over $100 dollars which no one else decided to "chip in." Well, we ended up doing the poster 2 days before it was due. The one girl could not meet up due to taking care of her family dog. So I ended driving 40 miles one way to this other girls apartment. After 6 hrs of working on it, it was not finished and she said she needed a break. I said, that is fine, take a break, but we are finishing this tonight. It took a total of 7 hrs to do it, but it was done. I could tell she wanted me to leave due to her cues, but I was getting tired of all this "we can do it a different day" and doing it at the last minute is not my thing. We ended up getting 100% on the presentation, proposal, and won 1st place for research day. Prize was $100 dollars. The one girl took the check, cashed it, and gave me my portion. They never did throw in their share for supplies. Your situation is different. You should of just been straight forward with him after 1-2 times of being polite. It is time you go home.

Everyone's opinion of a better player is different, so comparing Z to C is just irrelevant.
-
False. #96's groin was bothering him throughout the entire playoffs last year, he was getting "shots" in between periods. In fact, he had surgery this year to correct the chronic injury. Draper was not a "key" component to win against the CBJs. Other players were able to fill his role for the most part.

What is the point to pay a guy league minimum to 1 million who can not skate, pass, or score to protect 20 other players? The money could be used more wisely for a player who is more offensive and defensive minded which is the Wings philosophy. They love players who can play 2 ways, some examples: Pavel Hank Hossa Fil Franzen Nick x 2 Brian Helm And I am sure there is more.

Doggy is correct, even though he is not a medical doctor or a health care provider (not medical personnel), there are members of this site who are, including myself. For example, take a Seizure. If you have a severe one, your drivers license is taken away, you are monitored for 6 months, and etc. Standard precautions are to avoid over exertion, any real physical activity, and so forth. Lilja's situation is not FULLY known by all and if it is, it can not be talked about due to privacy laws. I do not think he is coming back to play this year.
-
Pretty much. Many enforcers had to change their style of play to fit into the "New NHL." A guy that can put up 50-60 points and lay on the body is much more useful to be honest, more dimensional, more bang for your buck.

You know what, when you get back this way in June, I am going to bring one of these, you are going to put it on, and I am going to get in it, and you will carry me around ok?
