A great player could be considered a man who shows up, works hard, is dedicated, and does the right thing. A player of players, a teammate who goes that extra mile. Do not dwindle the mans contributions to the Canes.

I will point this out again, the fact this news has not been posted on www.nhl.com shows that Bettman does not want any negative impact on the ASG as he knew he did something wrong. The 2 players are injured and there is medical evidence. Pretty clear, cut, and dry. The players are not required to play in the ASG, as a matter of fact I thought there was a freeze on trades and etc during this time. Bettman could of easily called Holland and stated, look if your guys do not play this weekend, make sure they sit out the following game to rest up because of their injuries. Now, instead of doing that, he is trying to make an example of 2 players from the same team. Nick played the entire last game and Pavel left early during the last one, he did not even finish.

Bettman might be upset because who is going to buy a Nick or Pavel All Star Game Jersey now? Losing profits.

So be it. Let the boy's rest up.
