No reason to bring anyone up at this point.

That 7-6 loss against the tuxedo's did not help. He did have some great saves in that game, but the entire team looked like preschoolers being sent home with notes pinned to their shirts for 10-15 minutes.

Question comes to mind, why would the Wings bring anyone up? Clearly has been out for a few games already and no one was called up. Why now? No need or reason.

Just realized there may be some irony there. Melrose was let go after the loss to the Wings. The same team that he played for and coach for their affiliate team with success. Even though his future was written in stone before last Friday night.

Interesting that Maltby has stepped up his play since Cleary has been out of the lineup.

Edmonton vs Colorado last night, zebra's called a penalty against Souray (?). Avs went from a 5 on 4 to a 5 on 3 and it was clear than there was no trip. Believe it lead to a goal.

How about letting Joho play out this season and then reassess his level of play and worth. A more long term evaluation would paint a clearer picture.

GP: 16 G: 2 A: 4 P: 6 +/- -3 May be hard to get rid of 3 million dollars with those types of numbers. Yes it is early in the season, but acquisition of Hossa has definitely impacted 1 or 2 players. Edit: Just to clarify, if keeping Hossa means Flip has to be moved and there is a taker, I will happily drop him off at Metro myself.

HNIC a few weeks back mentioned that the GM of Tampa's team came into the locker room directing plays. HNIC stated as early as November he would be let go.

Think it would be best that everyone let the current conversation go. What it comes down to is that someone always is worse off. Be happy with what you have and try to make the best of it. Everyone copes different while friends and family are for support.
