Honestly, Hudler or Franzen would do a better job centering Hossa than Flip in my opinion.

If you read my post from the other night, the dynamics of the team has changed. The lines have been shuffled and it will take time for the players to get accustom to that. I directly came out and said it may be a long month, it is a learning process. The Wing's are good at adapting, learning from their mistakes, accepting them, and moving forward respectively. The public needs to be aware of that and respond accordingly. Being overly emotional never resolves a debate or a conflict; philosophy 101.

I will even help them pick our their jacket size if you want.

It is amazing on how many people think the sky is falling. 1st game back with new lines and lost by one goal. 2nd game they play, they win by 1 goal and one of the goals they surrendered was on a 5-3. I am all for freedom of speech and letting ones express that, but please be a little more articulate about it. The Wing's have been one of the more consistent teams in the last 15 years. They just won the Cup and had an outstanding run in the playoffs. Where does anyone come off criticizing their play? I chalk this one up to people getting too spoiled to the Wings dominating every aspect of the game. There is always room for improvement and they played a HELL of a lot better than they did Thursday night against TO. Now, if any member here does not want to recognize that and all the other aspects, please just keep your outlandish comments to yourself. Matt usually does not say anything to someone unless it is total off the level, so take that information and chew on it for a while people.

Yeah, 5-3 did look a little rusty... At least they kept the puck in the zone. Will take some time...

It is nice to see him shoot, but a couple times he could of passed and the Wings could of had a better scoring chance. He is quick, that is for sure.

You have had a bad attitude about the Wings ever since the loss the other night. It was their 1st regular season game, new lines pretty much, and of the teams in the NHL, we only play Eastern Conference Teams MAYBE 2 TIMES IN 2 YEARS... If this was the playoffs and the Wings were down 0-2 in a series, then I could see this, but sheesh! By the Way, Go Wings!

I finished (I hope) with this one lecture @ 7:15 am this morning... off to bed... Will be back doing this again at 3 pm with another lecture and I will be missing a lot of hockey games this year...

The Wings looked good for the 1st few minutes of the game when they had some partial breakaways, hitting the post, cross bar, and etc. Then they fell apart, they miscued on outlet passes and clears. It was one game they and they did not play well, the Leafs deserved to win that game. With that being said, the Wings will need to study video's of the game, see where they went wrong and learn from their mistakes... If Hossa can be separated from Pavel and Hank while remaining productive, I say do it. But then the minutes issue comes into play like Heaton pointed out in another thread. See, this is why sometimes I think there is such a thing as "too much talet" on a team and it can alter the dynamics until the right fitment is found. This may be a long month.

Leafs deserved the win tonight... Wings looked rushed and way too many turn overs.

Try separating Hossa Pavel and Hank... See what happens.

Glad I missed the goal... Pavel looks frustrated... So what line was on the ice for that goal?

Sorry, but I feel Drake helped out 4th line out... Our 4th line tonight is getting singed out there - think Bab's may need to sit Malts and call up Helm for more speed.... Factor in Hossa and how the 1st 3 line combo's changed a bit.... There is an enough difference. Not like Flip, Hudler, Franzen, Sammy, and some others have played together for 5 years.

Hard work can get the job done... I like TO and am glad to see some hope for that team.

Not to take away any credit from the Wings, but TO is not looking too bad. They are pressuring, jumping on the give-w-ways, and finishing their checks.
