Aflac, that is pretty interesting and thank you for posting that... But at the same time, if the Ref's lose sight of the puck aren't they suppose to call the play dead? Almost like the time a few years back when the ref was "thinking to blow the whistle" so therefore the play is dead.

If we had laser beams on the perimeter of the rink above the glass that shot the pucks as they crossed the line we would not be having this problem right now. But to be realistic, nothing has been going right for the Wings with calls and injuries. They should of noticed the puck being deflected into the net, hell even Hasek looked side-to-side 2-3 times before the puck came shooting back to the ice like a meteor hitting earth. Whatever happened to the Ref's blowing the whistle when they lose site of the puck: 1. If they seen the puck hit the mesh they would of called the play dead. 2. Since they did not see the puck hit the mesh they would had to lose sight of the puck therefore blowing the whistle and stopping the play.

Yeah no doubt Franzen could of shot that puck.... He may of been looking for the perfect pass, but Nabokov was stopping those tonight or when Hank shot the puck it hit pickles stick or it would of been a goal.
