Chelios has small chip in fibula, could be out a few days.

Jack, do not cause trouble! Seriously though, if it is just chipped, I wonder if they will put him in a cam walker or cast just for a couple days even. -
Maybe when the Wings were down a goal late in the 3rd and they were trying to tie it up?

Anyone else noticed Sammy has been playing D on the PP's lately with the injuries? I have a feeling Howard is going to be a busy boy tonight as the Wings might be giving up a lot of odd man rushes (Hope I am wrong).....
-
We are thinking on the same line here Matt, hence my avatar.
-
I would not mind if they sit him for an extra period of time considering the situation..... With another possible injury tonight to the Wings D, it will be interesting to see what Holland does.
-
Kind of bitter sweet that Lilja is considered our #1 D Guy right now.....
-
I really did not sit down to watch the entire game... I seen Downey walk down the hall with the rest of the players at the end of the game.... Either Babs sat him for a while and he is healthy or he was sitting on the bench injured. Yeah, they played decent tonight despite the young D dealing with some anxiety from what I seen... Errikson (spelling?) did good, but there were a few times he went against the boards to get the puck and the player. Well, the he got the player, but the puck was sitting right there for a secondary to pick it up and there was a big potential for a 2-1 situation. I am sure the coaches will work with him on is 1st NHL game with replays and etc.

Wings are missing: 1. Lidstrom 2. Hasek 3. Cleary 4. Kronwall 5. Chelios 6. Rafalski 1-0 loss to Calgary is not too bad considering the situation.... But on the flip side, the Wings need to start putting the puck into the back of the net...... They are taking too may shots from the perimeter. Need to move the puck more across the crease....

I do not have an issue with a team signing players, but the fact that the players signed 1/2 way through the season to fit under the cap is more than twisting the rules/regulations...... It just shows the true fan of the NHL that there is issues and the front offices need to be cleaned out top to bottom.

Wherever you bought those gloves from you got ripped off.... The fingers have holes in them....

Mikael Samuelsson is looking good so far tonight and the last couple of games he is trying harder, but he is still making some fluke passes and etc..... I wonder if his contract is going to expire and this is why he is starting to play a little more..

Lang: HHOF or Bust?
-
I think everyone is missing a key point..... Almost every big player who had skill and played the body i.e. rough and tuff - their career's ended early or struggled with injuries. Anyone who has had a concussion from playing sports like hockey (me for example) understand that it can really slow you down mentally and physically. Lindros put up some great numbers and forced his way THROUGH players, not AROUND the D and Offense. 2 different styles of playing and the type that uses brute force wears on the player quicker and has more long term issues. I miss the days watching games where someone actually could score 40+ goals/50+ assists and leveled a player every game or crashed the net.
-
Lindros was a moster back in the day before he had too many concussions and would crash the net or steal steal the puck by laying a player flat on their backsides..... I think he should be in the HHOF.... And yes I am Lindros fan... Always ways and always will.... #88

Didn't this guy lose his father to cancer, battled alcohol issues, and ended up divorced? Remember people, one day you with have struggles too...
-
P.F would be a good fit with thw Wings and I think everyone knows that. The guy can make plays and pass the puck.... The Wings are lacking a "true assist" player as I like to call it. A lot os going to depend on how well his ankle(s) are and how he looks in Sweden. Considering I thought the Wings last year could of picked up Yannic Pereault (or however you spell it) to give us another higher % face off guy + a decent assist man for cheap. Who else is out there right now UFA that can bring his kind of dynamics?
-
Chelios was tired after the icing and with the commercial time out? I missed the goal as I was signing onto here.... PP is really struggling tonight..... anyone notice that?
-
Whats the deal with Oleg?
-
Is Grigs a goal scorer or a player who will set up an initial play/main assist?
-
If the Wings can pick up Sopel for a good price, he would add to our depth and add a different dimension to the PP.

I do not remember the actual temperature on New Years, but about 4-10 days before Christmas is was around 55 degrees in Alpena, MI when I was hunting.... With the weather being so whacky the last couple years, setting a date and having the weather cold enough is a high risk in my eyes. It worked great in Canada when they did it, but that is also farther West and North from Metro Detroit or even Buffalo or Pitts.

That is all I needed to know Matt.... I am not on the site all the time and was trying to figure out something.. Maybe you should set a Coon Trap
